Taylor Lautner and Tay Lautner have revealed the next member of the Lautner family is a girl.
The Twilight alum and his pregnant wife shared the news in a June 7 Instagram video, months after announcing their first child with a joke about their shared name.
According to E! News, Taylor and Tay sat together in front of a laptop before clicking through the reveal. The word “GIRL” appeared over the video in pink letters as the couple screamed in excitement.
Tay became emotional in the clip before Taylor hugged her and kissed her forehead. The couple captioned the video, “Our little secret is now yours.”

The Reveal Follows Their March Pregnancy Announcement
Taylor, 34, and Tay, 29, announced in March that they are expecting their first baby together. The couple shared photos of themselves posing with sonogram images, including one shot of Taylor kissing Tay’s baby bump.
The caption immediately played into the name joke that has followed them since they married.
“What’s better than two Taylor Lautners?” Taylor wrote at the time.

Tay was born Taylor Dome and took Lautner’s last name after their November 2022 wedding, making the couple two Taylor Lautners by name. They have joked in interviews about using “Taylor and Tay” or “boy Tay” and “girl Tay” to make life at home less confusing.
Tay Said Taylor Has Been Her “Saving Grace” During Pregnancy
The baby girl reveal came days after Tay spoke publicly about how Taylor has supported her during pregnancy.
“He’s been my saving grace,” Tay told E! News on June 4.
She said he has been helping with everyday pregnancy needs, including food runs and keeping her water filled with ice. She also said she already believed he would take naturally to fatherhood.
“I always say I married him because I knew he was going to be a great dad,” Tay said.
She added that watching him around children has made her even more excited to see him become a father.
The Couple’s Love Story Started Through Taylor’s Sister
Taylor and Tay met through Taylor’s sister, Makena Moore, who told him she had found his future wife. The two went public with their relationship in 2018.
They got engaged in November 2021 and married exactly one year later in California wine country. Their wedding also locked in the name coincidence that has become part of their public image as a couple.
Since then, Taylor and Tay have hosted The Squeeze podcast together, spoken openly about mental health, and shared parts of their marriage with fans without turning every private moment into a full public storyline.
The Next Lautner Is a Girl
The March pregnancy announcement asked what could be better than two Taylor Lautners. The June reveal gave the answer without overcomplicating the joke.
