Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s reported wedding setup at Madison Square Garden added another detail Friday afternoon: an ice sculpture delivered just before the main event was expected to begin.
TMZ said the frozen piece arrived at MSG on Friday, July 3, in a van from Okamoto Studio Custom Ice, a Queens-based company that makes custom ice displays for weddings, brands and events.
The delivery came as Madison Square Garden was already deep into a multi-day transformation. People reported that white tents had been placed outside the arena, pink curtains were installed by the windows and workers had moved in grass, canopies, carpets, audio equipment and crates marked “BRANCHES.”
The Associated Press reported that a city permit showed Friday’s main event was scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. and could continue until 4 a.m. Saturday.
The Ice Sculpture Arrived Before the Main Celebration
The ice sculpture was delivered by Okamoto Studio Custom Ice, whose official site lists wedding sculptures, logos, bottle chillers, tabletop centerpieces, ice bars, food displays and live carving among its custom event services.
The sculpture’s design was not disclosed. The van was spotted outside Madison Square Garden as crews continued bringing final materials into the arena before guests were expected.
Madison Square Garden Had Been Remade for the Event
People described a large-scale setup inside and outside MSG, with seats draped off inside the arena and production crews moving materials through the venue throughout the week. Boxes spotted outside included labels reading “Garden Party” and “Mirror Ball.”
One source told People the inside of the Garden looked “insane,” while another said they had never seen the venue look so different. Lighting company Upstaging Inc. and set-construction company Konduit were among the production teams seen at the arena, according to the outlet.
Outside, tents helped block views of arrivals and work areas. AP reported that street closures around the venue were tied to a drive-through tent and a separate entrance tent for the event.
The Permit Listed a Late-Night Schedule

AP reported that New York City approved a permit for a “Special Event at MSG” on Wednesday night. The paperwork listed a smaller Thursday gathering for about 100 guests, described by officials as an intimate rehearsal dinner.
The main Friday event was listed for up to 1,000 people and scheduled from 5 p.m. to 4 a.m. AP also reported that access around Penn Station could be affected because the transit hub sits directly below Madison Square Garden.
Swift and Kelce had not publicly confirmed the wedding details, according to AP, but the permit, security measures and days of visible setup around MSG pointed to a major private event at the arena.
People Shot Down the Castle Rumor
Some earlier reports described a castle-like structure as part of the wedding design, but People reported that sources denied a castle was being built inside Madison Square Garden.
“Not a castle but it looks very special,” one source told People. “They have grass, carpets and canopies, and it looks like a place where you’d get married. There’s a stage set up, but it’s special.”
A second source told the outlet there was “absolutely not” a castle inside the venue.
The Ice Delivery Was One of the Last Visible Details
The sculpture joined the growing list of wedding clues around Madison Square Garden, from the tents and curtains to the grass, canopies and event equipment brought inside during the week.
