Tom Brady slapped Logan Paul during an onstage confrontation at Fanatics Fest on Friday, July 17, one day after the seven-time Super Bowl champion publicly asked WWE to find a storyline for him.

Video posted by Fanatics shows Brady and Paul standing face-to-face with NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns between them.

Brady reached around Towns and struck Paul across the side of the face before the men were separated.

Neither Brady, Paul nor WWE has confirmed whether the confrontation was staged. The pair continued the confrontation online after the video spread.

Fanatics captioned its video, “Round 100 of this never ending beef at Fanatics Fest,” presenting the moment as the latest installment in Brady and Paul’s continuing rivalry.

Paul said he had been mocking Brady over the Fanatics Flag Football Classic when the confrontation escalated. “This happened bc I was roasting Tom for beating him in flag football. And he tries to smack me ?? Horrible example for the kids,” he wrote on X. “Aura -100 + Blocked. With a torn tricep.”

Brady shared footage of the slap with the one-word caption, “Dork.” Responding directly to Paul, he added, “I tried America… will try again next time I see this nerd,” according to People.

Their public trash talk began earlier in 2026 after Paul argued that competing in WWE made him as athletic as NFL players. They later played on opposing teams at the Fanatics Flag Football Classic in March, where Paul’s team defeated Brady’s.

Brady Asked Nick Khan to Get Him Into WWE

During a live edition of Cody Rhodes’ What Do You Wanna Talk About? at Fanatics Fest on Thursday, July 16, Brady said he was waiting for WWE President Nick Khan to create an opportunity for him.

“I need to get an invite,” Brady said. “I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.”

Brady pointed to former New England Patriots teammate Rob Gronkowski’s WWE appearances and Paul’s successful move into professional wrestling. “I think I can get in there for at least one match, right?” he said. “Come on, Nick! Come on, make it happen.”

WWE also shared footage of Brady’s confrontation with Paul, adding to speculation that the exchange could lead to an appearance or match.

Paul Is Still Recovering From a Torn Triceps

Paul tore his triceps during a WWE World Tag Team Championship match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in May and underwent surgery. He initially said the injury carried an expected recovery period of approximately six months.

During a July 17 appearance on ESPN’s First Take, Paul argued that he felt ready to return and called on WWE’s medical team to clear him. “They said six months. It’s been two and I’m fine,” he said. “Put me in. The Vision needs me. The company needs me. I’m ready to go.”
