Adele was spotted at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone on July 5, joining a long list of celebrity spectators in the paddock. The Standard reported that she attended with 13-year-old Angelo, who is also enthusiastic about Formula 1.

LBC reported that the singer wore a Lando Norris and McLaren-themed T-shirt and a necklace spelling out “Mummy” as she joined the VIP paddock crowd.

The Daily Mail’s report said friends believe the comments about Adele’s appearance hurt her and “left a mark.” Adele has not publicly responded to the latest comments.

Formula 1 Has Become a Bond With Her Son Angelo

Adele’s Silverstone outing followed a McLaren Racing video in which she spoke about Angelo’s love of karting and Formula 1. PEOPLE reported that Adele visited the McLaren Technology Centre, met Lando Norris and explained how her son’s interest in racing became something they now share.

She said Angelo became interested in karting a few years ago and that she wanted to encourage it because she does not see many teenagers with a real passion. Adele also said she had become “obsessed” with the sport herself.

InStyle reported that Adele said she did not expect to bond with her soon-to-be 14-year-old son over something so passionate, adding that it has been fun to have that interaction with him in 2026.

Adele Also Admitted She Does Not Sing Much Anymore

The Sun reported that when Norris asked whether she still enjoys singing, Adele admitted, “I don’t sing very often anymore.”

She also spoke about how unlikely her career once felt. According to The Sun, Adele said she never thought she would be “the talent” and once imagined working in A&R instead of becoming one of the most successful singers in the world.

Her UK Return Comes After Years of Keeping Fame at a Distance

Adele has been selective about public appearances since ending her Las Vegas residency in 2024. She has not released a studio album since 30, and her recent public moments have often been tied to family, sports or special events.

The Sun reported that she recently flew into London and had been seen around Church Studios in North London, prompting speculation about new music. The outlet also noted that the studio is owned by Paul Epworth, Adele’s longtime collaborator on songs including her Oscar-winning Bond theme, “Skyfall.”
