Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had barely finished celebrating their wedding before the next wave of speculation arrived.
Bored Panda reported that sources close to the couple have started discussing where Swift and Kelce reportedly stand on having children after their July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden.
The Daily Mail questioned whether Swift’s extreme security measures would make it difficult to raise a child in the spotlight.
Sources Say Security Is the Biggest Baby-Plan Concern
Bored Panda reported that sources claimed Swift and Kelce are “not sure” whether they will have children, with security described as the biggest complication.
One source told the Daily Mail, according to Bored Panda, that Swift has “such a security situation” that it would be hard to raise a child in her world.
Swift moves through public life with global attention, stadium-size crowds and security planning around nearly every major appearance.
Swift’s Security Concerns Are Not Theoretical
Daily Mail source pointed to threats against Swift, including people allegedly known to law enforcement and others described as difficult to track.
The report also cited the 2024 Vienna terror plot as one of the clearest examples of why Swift’s security concerns are taken seriously. The Associated Press reported that an Austrian court convicted a man in May 2026 of planning to attack one of Swift’s Vienna concerts and sentenced him to 15 years in prison.
The Vienna plot led Austrian authorities to cancel three Swift performances in August 2024. AP reported that the defendant had admitted to charges related to the concert plot during the opening day of his trial.
Kelce Is Reportedly Less Worried Than Swift
Bored Panda reported that another source claimed Kelce is not as scared by the security concerns as Swift is. Neither Swift nor Kelce has publicly commented on the latest baby-plan report.
Kelce is also heading back into NFL life. Bored Panda noted that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end is expected to return for the season, while Swift has shown no public sign of stepping away from work.
Swift Already Pushed Back on Marriage Retirement Talk
During an October interview with BBC Radio 2’s Scott Mills, Swift responded to fan theories that marriage and children would mean the end of her music career.
Variety reported that Swift called that idea “shockingly offensive” and said people do not get married so they can quit their job.
Bored Panda also pointed to earlier source claims that Swift likes the idea of taking Kelce’s last name privately while still remaining Taylor Swift professionally.
For now, Swift and Kelce have not publicly announced any baby plans.
