Andy Cohen and Kevin Sobieski have taken their year-plus relationship onto its first red carpet.
The couple posed together Wednesday, Aug. 26, before John Mayer’s SiriusXM concert at Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett, New York. The appearance marked their red-carpet debut after months of being photographed together and gradually making the relationship more public.
Cohen, 58, wore a faded denim shirt over a white T-shirt with light jeans, while Sobieski, 42, paired a dark T-shirt with olive trousers. Photos published by Just Jared showed them smiling together in front of the SiriusXM backdrop.
The night was also a work assignment for Cohen. Before Mayer performed a career-spanning set with his full band, the longtime friends recorded a conversation that will air on Cohen’s Radio Andy channel.

Cohen and Sobieski kept their first joint carpet casual for the intimate Hamptons event, posing with their arms around each other before heading inside Stephen Talkhouse. Video shared by E! News also showed the pair turning together for photographers.
Cohen then interviewed Mayer ahead of the performance. According to SiriusXM, their conversation airs Friday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. ET on Radio Andy, while Mayer’s concert airs Saturday, Aug. 29, at 8 p.m. ET on Life with John Mayer. Both will also be available through the SiriusXM app.
The event’s licensed Getty Images gallery also shows Brooke Shields, Katie Couric, Christie Brinkley, Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka among the guests. Cohen was photographed with Mayer before the performance and later speaking at the event.
Cohen Said He ‘Met the Person’ After Nearly Skipping a Party
Cohen publicly confirmed the relationship on June 8, days after he and Sobieski were photographed holding hands during Cohen’s birthday celebration in New York City. On Andy Cohen Live, he told listeners, “I met the person, you guys,” and revealed that they had already been dating for 11 months.
The pair met at a friend’s Fourth of July party in 2025. Cohen said he had almost skipped the gathering before deciding to go, spotted Sobieski there and spent the night talking with him. He later recalled putting his number into Sobieski’s phone and making sure he had entered it correctly.
By the time he confirmed the relationship, Cohen was describing Sobieski as kind, strong, smart and someone who had become important to his family. He said Sobieski loves his children, Ben, 7, and Lucy, 4, and that the feeling is mutual.
Cohen said he had been “slow and deliberate and methodical” about bringing Sobieski into his family life. After 11 months together, he also said they had not had a fight or disagreement and added, “I love him.”
Sobieski Still Hasn’t Watched a Frame of Housewives

Cohen made the relationship Instagram official on July 17, posting a photo of the two men smiling with their arms around each other during a night out. His caption was short and sweet: “Date Night.”
Sobieski’s increasingly public role in Cohen’s life has not included a crash course in the television franchise most closely associated with his career. During an Aug. 5 appearance on TODAY, Cohen said Sobieski had “never seen” The Real Housewives and had watched “not one frame” of the franchise.
Cohen said social-media algorithms had started serving Sobieski Housewives-related material because of their conversations, giving him some idea of Cohen’s television world. Cohen was not bothered by his boyfriend’s lack of familiarity with it, saying, “He loves my kids and me, and that’s what’s important.” Asked about eventually bringing Sobieski further into the Housewives universe, Cohen replied, “I’ll get him there.”
