Anna Faris’ return to Scary Movie became a family night on the red carpet.
The actress brought her 13-year-old son, Jack Pratt, to the global premiere of Scary Movie on Wednesday, June 3. People reported that Faris was joined by Jack, her husband Michael Barrett, and Barrett’s daughter Margot Barrett for the premiere.
Jack wore a black suit and white dress shirt, while Faris wore a black sequin halter-neck dress with side cutouts. The appearance stood out because Faris, who shares Jack with ex-husband Chris Pratt, has mostly kept him away from public events.

Jack Joined Faris for a Major Franchise Comeback
The premiere marked Faris’ return as Cindy Campbell, the role that made her one of the defining faces of the original Scary Movie franchise.
Faris last played Cindy in Scary Movie 4. The new film brings her back more than 20 years after the character first helped launch her comedy career.
People reported that Faris said she was “shocked and immediately thrilled” when she learned she would be returning for the sixth installment.
She also described the experience as “healing,” saying the reunion let her reconnect with people tied to one of the most important early chapters of her career.

Jack was not the only family member connected to the night.
People reported that Faris’ stepdaughter Margot recreated one of Faris’ famous Scary Movie scenes for Halloween in 2025. In the TikTok, Margot lip-synced to audio from the original scene where Ghostface calls Cindy after breaking into her home.
Faris reposted the video on Instagram at the time, giving Margot’s premiere appearance a small extra connection to the role.
The Wayans Brothers Are Back Too
The new Scary Movie also brings back major names from the franchise’s early years.
People reported that Marlon, Shawn, and Keenen Ivory Wayans have returned to the series for the first time since Scary Movie 2.
Faris said the reunion gave her a chance to thank the Wayans brothers in a way she could not fully process when the first movie changed her career.
“It felt like the Wayans Brothers were casting me,” she told People. “And this time, I got to thank them and feel like I wasn’t gonna get fired, you know?”
The Premiere Gave Faris a Rare Family Red Carpet Photo
The new Scary Movie opens in theaters Friday, June 5.
For Faris, the premiere was both a career callback and a family appearance. She returned to one of her most recognizable roles with Jack, Michael Barrett, and Margot Barrett beside her.
That made the night more personal than a standard franchise premiere. Cindy Campbell helped introduce Faris to a generation of comedy fans, and this time her family was there to watch her step back into the role.
