Anna Kendrick pulled a black-and-gold hockey jersey over her face as she left a Los Angeles Halloween party with comedian Alex Edelman. Edelman held open the back door of a white SUV while Kendrick climbed in. The jersey’s gold number 18 faced the cameras.
The jersey fit the occasion. Vas J Morgan and Michael Braun had picked “Hockey Horror” as the theme for their sixth annual Halloween party on October 31.
Kendrick, 41, and Edelman, 37, both appeared on the guest list. The pictures of the two came from outside the party, where Edelman wore a black T-shirt and tan pants. Just Jared published the three Backgrid photos on November 3.
The two had also been photographed together in New York earlier this year. On July 21, Extra published a photo of them shopping in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.
Kendrick and Edelman Were First Linked in Los Angeles

In July 2025, a photo of Kendrick and Edelman in a car in Los Angeles drew attention to their relationship. Edelman had won a Special Tony Award the year before for his one-man Broadway show, Just for Us.
A source told People that they’d been dating for several months, had celebrated Edelman’s birthday together in March and preferred to have dinner away from the usual celebrity hangouts. Kendrick had also met his mother, the source said.
Days later, a different source told Parade that the relationship was casual and that the two saw each other when they were in the same city. That July, photographers caught them at Porto’s Bakery in Burbank on a Saturday and at a Studio City farmers market the following afternoon.

The hosts took inspiration from the hockey romances Heated Rivalry and Off Campus. The decorations included jack-o’-lanterns and skeletons in hockey skates. The party photos that Deuxmoi shared on Instagram came from photographer Tiziano Raw.
Guests included Camila Cabello, BLACKPINK’s Jennie, Lizzo and Paris Hilton. Salma Hayek chose a costume with a personal connection. She wore a blond bob with bangs and a black leather jacket as Piña, the character her friend Penélope Cruz plays in The Invite, according to Page Six.
Edelman Made It Into Friends’ Photos From Kendrick’s Birthday Trip
For her 40th birthday in August 2025, Kendrick took a group of friends to Costa Rica, including her Pitch Perfect co-stars Chrissie Fit and Kelley Jakle. They stayed at the Four Seasons on the Papagayo Peninsula. Kendrick shared clips of boat rides and beach walks, describing the trip as “paradise with the loves of my life,” according to The Tico Times.
Edelman appeared in friends’ posts from the vacation but was absent from Kendrick’s own recap. Songwriter Benj Pasek, a friend of Edelman’s, left a three-word comment on her post. “Editor in chief,” he wrote. Edelman liked it.
