Bailey Zimmerman is facing an arrest warrant in New Mexico after authorities alleged that he caused more than $16,000 in damage to a hotel room following a canceled concert.
The country singer, 26, had been scheduled to perform May 27 at Sandia Resort and Casino in Albuquerque, but the show was canceled shortly before it was set to begin.
People reported that an arrest warrant was issued June 18. Zimmerman is facing a fourth-degree felony charge for criminal damage to property over $1,000 and a misdemeanor charge for falsely obtaining services, according to an arrest warrant obtained by the outlet.
The allegations cover what authorities say happened during sound check, after the concert cancellation and inside Zimmerman’s hotel room. People reported that a spokesperson for the singer did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Court Documents Describe the Sound Check Before the Canceled Show
According to an affidavit for the arrest warrant obtained by People, Zimmerman “appeared to be exhibiting signs of intoxication” while interacting with staff members and during sound check before the May 27 show.
The affidavit alleges that Zimmerman stumbled onto the stage, grabbed a guitar and hit it on the ground before tripping and falling backward. People reported that he also allegedly threw two cymbals, kicked a drum set, pushed a guitarist and threw a microphone to the ground before leaving the stage.
Scripps News Group / WTVF reported that the affidavit described surveillance video from the afternoon. The outlet said the document also alleged that Zimmerman kicked a black box, spat toward a Sandia security officer and threw a water bottle down a staircase.
Zimmerman Told Fans He Was Not Feeling Well

Zimmerman canceled the concert that night and told fans on Instagram that he had “not been feeling well,” according to People. He wrote that he had tried to “power through” but was not able to give fans the show they deserved.
“I hate letting y’all down and was really looking forward to these shows, but I gotta take care of myself so I can get back out there stronger,” Zimmerman wrote at the time. The same post said the May 27 Albuquerque show and a May 30 California date would be rescheduled.
According to the affidavit cited by People, Sandia Resort later gave Zimmerman a deadline to leave the property. The affidavit alleged that he became “disorderly,” prompting a call to Sandia Police, before he eventually cooperated and left.
Hotel Staff Alleged More Than $16,000 in Damage
The next morning, May 28, housekeeping found damage in Zimmerman’s room, according to the affidavit cited by People. The alleged damage included a broken phone, damaged TV, damaged chairs, a damaged coffee table, two missing chairs and a hole in the wall.
Scripps News Group / WTVF reported that the affidavit also listed damage to other walls and several carpet stains. The total damage was assessed at more than $16,000.
Investigators also alleged that Zimmerman charged more than $400 in alcohol to the room and did not pay the bill. People reported that the arrest warrant was issued after repeated attempts to contact Zimmerman failed.
The Legal Case Is Still at the Warrant Stage
Entertainment Weekly reported that Zimmerman faces one fourth-degree felony count for criminal damage to property over $1,000 and one misdemeanor count for falsely obtaining services. The outlet said it reached out to Sandia Tribal Police and a representative for Zimmerman for comment.
Scripps News Group / WTVF reported that the warrant lists no bond and designates a no-bond hold. The outlet said Sandia Resort and Sandia Police made multiple attempts to contact Zimmerman and his staff by phone and email with no response.
Zimmerman released his second album, Different Night Same Rodeo, in August and remains active on tour. People reported that he was next scheduled to perform June 25 in Ashland, Nebraska.
The Case Follows a Previous Public Apology
The New Mexico allegations come more than a year after Zimmerman apologized for another alcohol-related concert issue. In January 2025, he posted a video apologizing to fans after performing drunk at Luke Bryan’s Crash My Playa festival in Mexico.
“I got up on stage, and I was too drunk to play. And I sang awful, I played awful,” Zimmerman said in that apology, according to People. “Nobody got the show that they wanted or paid for. And I’m disappointed in myself.”
Zimmerman said in the caption at the time that he had let himself down and promised to “be better.”
