Chris Brown and Usher performed “Back to Sleep” together at their November 6 Atlanta concert, according to a November 7 report by TMZ. The appearance followed an opening night that left fans complaining about a long wait and questioning the relationship between the headliners.
In a November 6 report, TMZ cited unnamed sources who said the singers argued backstage ahead of their November 5 show at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Those sources said Usher wanted to begin while Brown preferred waiting for fans delayed by traffic.
In an Instagram Story reported by Complex on November 6, Brown wrote, “Internet 🧢. Don’t fall for it.” He did not name Usher or specify what he was referring to.
The Atlanta stop had expanded from two dates to five, creating a record booking for a single engagement at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The previous record was Beyoncé’s four concerts during her Cowboy Carter tour in 2025.
Fans Waited Well Beyond the Advertised Start Time

For the November 5 show, the stadium advertised a 7:30 p.m. start, but the headliners did not begin until around 10 p.m. In her firsthand review for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, DeAsia Paige reported that Usher’s representatives said the planned performance time had been 8:30 p.m.
By 9 p.m., DJ Fresh, Brown’s touring hype man, had been entertaining the crowd for nearly two hours, Paige wrote. At 9:45 p.m., stadium cameras showed a fan holding a phone with the message “Start the show.”
Some attendees complained about sound quality and said the performances felt rushed, according to theGrio. The concert ended around midnight.
When Paige contacted Usher’s team during the concert, a representative said they did not know what had caused the delay. She reported that neither artist’s representatives answered her additional questions after the show.

Paige reported that Brown and Usher never shared the stage during the opener. The two have collaborated on “New Flame” and “Party,” and joint performances had featured at other stops on the tour.
Usher performed “Yeah!,” “U Don’t Have to Call” and “Love in This Club.” Brown’s set included “Yo,” “Ain’t No Way” and “Say Goodbye,” along with aerial effects during “Forever.”
T.I. and Young Dro joined Usher for a guest segment that Paige estimated lasted nearly half an hour.
The R&B Tour Continues With Three More Atlanta Dates
The tour began in Denver in June and takes its name from the singers’ surnames, Raymond and Brown, as well as their musical genre. Usher’s manager, Ron Laffitte, told the AJC before the Atlanta shows that the idea had been discussed for years.
In its November 5 feature, the newspaper reported that the tour had sold more than two million tickets and generated more than $400 million in gross revenue.
Billboard’s September Boxscore figures put the tour’s gross at $77.4 million across 10 performances. Their joint trek became the first coheadlining tour to top the monthly Top Tours chart.
The remaining Atlanta concerts are scheduled for November 8, 10 and 11.
