Demi Lovato has reassured fans after a hospital visit for a possible allergic reaction. The singer shared a photograph from the visit on Instagram Stories on Monday night, October 26, 2026, before posting a message saying she was fine.
The 34-year-old’s photograph showed an IV in her arm and a hospital bracelet around her wrist. She wondered whether something she had eaten was responsible for the reaction.
TMZ reported, citing sources with direct knowledge, that her symptoms eased quickly and she was discharged without an overnight stay.
The update followed a weekend celebration of her music. On October 24, Lovato marked the first anniversary of her ninth studio album, It’s Not That Deep, with a look back at the year.

Lovato kept her hospital message brief, writing over the photograph: “sooooo i’m either allergic to passionfruit or sushi now!”
She did not describe her symptoms or say whether doctors had identified an allergen. Her follow-up Story was even shorter. Against a black background, Lovato wrote, “i’m fine!!”

Lovato’s anniversary carousel revisited the work behind the album, with photographs from its production and promotion. In the caption, she celebrated the music, the people involved and the chance to express herself in new ways.
She described the project as a gift and said it was “marking potentially the best year of my life.” Her message also reflected on married life and the time she had spent dancing and laughing with others.
Released on October 24, 2025, the original 11-track album was executive produced by Zhone. It returned Lovato to dance-pop through songs including “Fast,” “Here All Night” and “Kiss,” according to Universal Music Canada.
At its release, Lovato said making the record had been her most enjoyable studio experience. She described wanting to capture the freedom and lightness she felt at that point in her life.
The accompanying tour finished in Brazil in September. In a thank-you message covered by CNN Brasil, she identified São Paulo as the final stop and thanked audiences for singing both older and newer songs, dressing up and dancing with her.
Jutes Joined Her Album Anniversary Celebration
Lovato’s husband, musician Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, responded to the anniversary post with a comment praising her and the album. He told her he loved her and was proud of her work, according to People.
The couple married in Santa Barbara on May 25, 2025. They had met during a songwriting session in January 2022, as Vogue documented in its wedding feature.
Earlier this month, Lovato discussed their relationship on Kerry Washington’s Street You Grew Up On podcast. She credited her own personal work with helping her appreciate the relationship and described the peace her husband had brought into her life. “I do feel like I’ve found my home in him,” she said in the interview, covered by People.
