Frankie Grande is making clear that his sister Ariana Grande has his support as she prepares to step back from public-facing work after completing her Eternal Sunshine Tour.
The Broadway performer shared an emotional message after attending Ariana’s August 6 concert at Chicago’s United Center, the final show of the tour’s North American leg.
“Family forever,” Frankie wrote. “I will have your back until the end of time. I am so proud of you and so happy for you.”
His tribute came days after Ariana’s representative confirmed that the singer plans to take “a step back from visibility” once the tour concludes September 1 in London.

Frankie shared footage of Ariana performing her 2014 song “One Last Time” during the final Chicago concert. Their mother, Joan Grande, could also be seen beside him as they watched the performance.
Frankie praised both his sister and the community surrounding the tour. “Last night was a beautiful celebration of your artistry and the magnificent eternal sunshine family you have built and created,” he wrote. “It was a magical night. You are magical.”
He ended the tribute with another personal message to Ariana. “You are my everything and I am so so happy I was there to see you shine on this tour one last time,” Frankie wrote.

Ariana shared her own message after completing the North American portion of the tour. “I cannot believe that this concludes the north american leg of the eternal sunshine tour,” she wrote on Instagram. “I am overwhelmed with love and the deepest gratitude.”
She thanked Chicago and said she would cherish the months spent performing for fans and the memories from the tour. Ariana began the North American leg in Oakland on June 6 and finished with three performances at Chicago’s United Center on August 3, 5 and 6.
She will resume the tour at London’s O2 Arena on August 15. The venue has 10 performances scheduled through September 1, when the tour is set to conclude.
Ariana Says Her Decision to Step Back Was Planned ‘A Long Time Ago’
Ariana addressed her upcoming break during her August 3 concert in Chicago after fans questioned whether online negativity had influenced the decision. “The announcement that was made yesterday was not a reactive or impulsive thing,” she told the audience, according to People.
She said it was something she had decided to plan “quietly, a long time ago.” A representative for Ariana told People that she wants to finish the tour “healthily and happily” before taking a break from public-facing work and appearances following sustained public scrutiny.
Ariana also rejected the idea that negativity had ruined her experience on tour, describing the Eternal Sunshine Tour as one of the most healing and special experiences of her life.
Her Step Back Has Already Affected One Major Project
Ariana has withdrawn from the planned West End revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Sunday in the Park With George, which is scheduled to open at London’s Barbican Centre in summer 2027. The production’s team publicly supported her decision and said new casting information would be announced later.
People reported that those close to Ariana support her slowing down, with one source saying she is prepared to focus on herself after the tour. She will still be seen in the upcoming comedy Focker-in-Law alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. The film is scheduled to reach theaters November 25.
