Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell stepped out for a family milestone as their grandson Wilder Hudson graduated from high school.

The longtime couple appeared in photos shared by Wilder’s mother, Erinn Hudson, showing several generations gathered around the new graduate. InStyle reported that Hawn and Russell posed beside Wilder, with the grandparents standing on either side of him during the celebration.

Erinn marked the moment on Instagram with a message about how quickly time had passed and how proud she was of her son. The post gave fans a family glimpse of Hawn and Russell away from a premiere, awards show, or red carpet.

The graduation came shortly after Hawn and Russell also joined Kate Hudson’s family to celebrate Ryder Robinson’s graduation from New York University.

Wilder is the eldest son of Oliver Hudson and Erinn Hudson. Oliver is Hawn’s son with her former husband Bill Hudson, and he has long been part of one of Hollywood’s best-known blended families.

InStyle reported that Oliver and Erinn are also parents to Bodhi and Rio. The outlet said Wilder’s graduation photos included Hawn, Russell, Erinn, Wilder, and other family members gathered together for the occasion.

Hawn wore a black suit with colorful floral embellishments, while Russell kept his look simple in black. In one photo, they stood close to Wilder with their arms around him.

Hawn and Russell have been together since 1983. Hawn shares Oliver Hudson and Kate Hudson with Bill Hudson, while Russell has son Boston Russell from his previous marriage to Season Hubley.

Hawn and Russell also share son Wyatt Russell, who has built his own acting career. The family now includes actors, grandchildren, and several branches that continue showing up for one another at major milestones.

People reported in May that Hawn and Russell have eight grandchildren. Wilder’s graduation added another public family moment to a year that has already included Ryder Robinson’s college graduation.

Wilder Has Already Made His Acting Debut

Wilder’s graduation arrived after he recently stepped into the family business. People reported that Wilder made his feature-film acting debut alongside his father Oliver in the Netflix holiday romantic comedy A Merry Little Ex-Mas.

In the film, Wilder plays Gabriel, the son of Oliver’s character Everett Holden. Netflix Tudum lists the cast as including Alicia Silverstone, Oliver Hudson, Jameela Jamil, Pierson Fodé, Melissa Joan Hart, and Wilder Hudson.

Oliver told People that Wilder had not acted in a film before and had recently finished an acting class outside school when he got the part. He said he cried after one of Wilder’s first takes because he was watching his son enter his professional world.

The Photos Showed Hawn And Russell As Grandparents

The graduation photos were not tied to a project or publicity campaign. Hawn and Russell were there for Wilder, standing with family as he marked the end of high school.

Erinn wrote that the family officially had a high school graduate and told Wilder he made them proud. The photos showed Hawn and Russell in the role fans now see more often when the couple appears publicly: grandparents showing up for birthdays, graduations, and family celebrations.

Wilder’s graduation was his milestone. The photos also offered a newer look at the Hawn-Russell family as it moves into another generation, with one grandson finishing high school after already making his first screen appearance beside his father.
