Hilary Duff wants to make another album, but she isn’t sure its concerts would follow the same city-to-city route as her current tour. The singer is considering residency-style performances after returning to the road for her biggest run of shows yet.
“I 100% want to make a new album,” Duff, 39, told Billboard in its November 5 cover interview. She hasn’t started working on that record, and a deluxe edition of luck… or something is also under consideration.
Released February 20, the album was her first full-length studio release since 2015’s Breathe In. Breathe Out. Duff wrote it with her husband, musician and producer Matthew Koma, addressing family relationships, past romances and the experience of growing older. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
The Lucky Me Tour has grossed $48.3 million from 610,000 tickets sold across its first 40 reported shows, according to Billboard Boxscore. Those figures cover the concerts reported so far, not the entire tour.
A Summer With Four Children Has Duff Rethinking Life on the Road
Duff described this summer’s extensive routing as a chance to reconnect with audiences who had waited years to see her, including fans in places such as Iowa. “I’m not sure it’s ever going to look like that again,” she said. She pointed to the residency model used by Harry Styles and Bad Bunny as something that interests her, without announcing a new venue or dates.
Traveling with her family also meant trying to rest between parenting and performing. In Austin, her bus reached the Germania Insurance Amphitheater at 5 a.m., only for racecars at the neighboring Circuit of the Americas to keep her awake. After she had managed just two hours of sleep, Koma assembled pillows, blankets, sound machines, headphones and earplugs, then took charge of the children so she could rest before that night’s show.
The children enjoyed collecting butterfly-shaped confetti after performances. Duff traveled with childcare help, but said they still wanted their mother’s attention. Before committing to the tour, she and Koma had discussed how it would change their routines and the time she would spend away from home.
She has already tried shorter engagements in one location. Duff played Voltaire at The Venetian in Las Vegas on February 13, 14 and 15, then returned May 22, 23 and 24. Those sold-out dates were limited engagements, with a set mixing earlier hits such as So Yesterday and Come Clean with her new material.
The Lucky Me Tour Still Has Dates Through November 2027

The current tour resumes in Vancouver on January 22, followed by further Canadian and Mexican concerts. Her representatives told Billboard they had arranged the remaining itinerary in shorter stretches to avoid another prolonged absence from home.
On September 23, Live Nation announced 32 additional dates across Europe, Latin America and the United States. The European leg begins May 7 in Madrid, with Rebecca Black supporting. August brings concerts in Puerto Rico, Brazil, Argentina and Chile before another U.S. run starts October 1 in Sunrise, Florida.
Dashboard Confessional and Tegan and Sara will join selected U.S. dates. The original expansion announcement ended with Anaheim on November 20, but Ticketmaster now also lists a second Honda Center performance on November 21, 2027.
Holiday Things Is Out as Her Team Discusses Festival Opportunities
Duff has already followed her comeback album with the five-track Holiday Things EP, released October 23 through Atlantic Records. Produced by Koma and Brian Phillips, it includes three original songs, a cover of Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and a new recording of Last Christmas, according to BroadwayWorld.
She is scheduled to perform at December Jingle Ball concerts in Los Angeles, New York, Boston and Nashville. Beyond those bookings, CAA agent Brian Manning told Billboard that her team was discussing festival opportunities for 2027 and later. He did not name any confirmed events.
Duff is also interested in another film or television role, particularly one that would let her work closer to home. Her next announced industry appearance is the Billboard Live Music Summit on November 10, where she will participate in a conversation and receive the Outstanding Pop Tour of the Year Award.
