Howard Stern may be getting a new streaming outlet just as his SiriusXM show moves into a smaller weekly schedule.
The broadcaster has reportedly reached an HBO Max deal that would turn video from his SiriusXM program into a shorter weekly show, according to The Sun.
The reported setup would have Stern host one three-hour live show on Mondays. Selected material from that broadcast would then be edited into a 60- or 90-minute HBO Max episode released later in the week.
Neither HBO Max nor representatives for Stern’s SiriusXM show confirmed the arrangement to the outlet. Page Six also treated the development as a report rather than an independently announced deal.
The Monday Show Would Supply HBO Max’s Weekly Cut

The reported HBO Max plan starts with one live SiriusXM broadcast each Monday. Stern and co-host Robin Quivers would record the radio show on that fixed day, giving editors time to prepare the streaming version.
The Howard Stern Show’s official Instagram account has separately promoted Stern’s live Monday return. That post supports the return day, but it does not mention HBO Max or confirm the streaming deal.
The reported streaming episode would not be a live simulcast or a full replay of the radio program. The Sun said material from the three-hour show would be condensed into either a one-hour or 90-minute episode for HBO Max.
No premiere date, release day or deal terms have been announced. The report also says the arrangement is not expected to bring Stern back to his New York studio on a regular basis, after years of mostly remote broadcasts since the pandemic.
Stern’s SiriusXM Contract Still Runs Through 2028
Stern’s SiriusXM deal is not ending. He announced a three-year extension on December 16, 2025, saying the new arrangement gave him “more free time” and a “more flexible schedule” while keeping him on the radio.
The extension began in January and keeps Stern at SiriusXM through 2028. AP reported that Stern also told Quivers he would not have signed the deal if she did not want to continue with him.
The reported HBO Max arrangement would add a video outlet rather than replace SiriusXM. Stern’s full Monday show would remain with the satellite-radio company, while HBO Max would get the shorter weekly edit described by the unnamed sources.
Howard 100 Stays as Howard 101 Leaves
SiriusXM has separately confirmed a change to Stern’s channel footprint. Its new lineup keeps Howard 100 on channel 100 but removes Howard 101 beginning September 1.
Howard 101 had carried archival programming, classic episodes and older interviews. Howard 100 remains the home of Stern’s current show.
Radio Andy, the channel led by Andy Cohen, moves from channel 102 into the 101 slot under the new SiriusXM lineup.
The Channel Change Follows Staff Cuts
The Howard 101 change follows reported staff cuts around Stern’s show. Page Six reported in July that approximately a dozen staffers had been laid off as the program prepared to move to one new episode per week.
SiriusXM’s official lineup announcement does not address those layoffs or the reported HBO Max deal. It only lists the September 1 channel changes, with Howard 100 remaining at channel 100 and Radio Andy moving to channel 101.
For now, the confirmed change is on SiriusXM’s own schedule. The HBO Max piece remains reported, with no public announcement yet from the streamer, SiriusXM or Stern.
