Jeff Jarrett is not claiming to know Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s family plans, but he had a light answer when asked what could come next after their wedding.

TMZ reported that the WWE Hall of Famer was asked whether he attended Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden and what he thought about the newlyweds potentially having children one day.

Jarrett joked that any future children would hit the “genetic lottery” because of Swift’s artistry and Kelce’s athleticism.

Jarrett Kept the Wedding Question Private

Jarrett did not confirm whether he attended the wedding, even though his long connection to Swift made the question natural. TMZ caught up with him in New York City after the ceremony and asked directly if he had been there.

Instead of answering, Jarrett kept the focus on Swift’s happiness. He said finding love was “very good for her” and described Swift as a “sweet girl”.

Jarrett also made clear that it was not his business whether Swift and Kelce decide to have children. His “genetic lottery” remark was framed as a hypothetical.

Swift’s History With the Jarrett Family Goes Back Years

PEOPLE reported in 2024 that Jarrett said Swift spent time with his daughters, Joslyn, Jaclyn and Jerlyn, while his late wife, Jill Gregory, was battling breast cancer.

Jarrett told WREG at the time that Swift was a friend of the family and was “very good” to them during a painful period before Jill died in May 2007.

He clarified that Swift was not formally on his payroll as a babysitter, but said she was like a big sister to his daughters.

One Jarrett Daughter Appeared in a Swift Video

The family connection also carried into Swift’s early career. PEOPLE reported that Jarrett’s daughter Jaclyn appeared in Swift’s 2010 music video for Mine, from the album Speak Now.

Jarrett later recalled that Swift specifically wanted Jaclyn in the video and said the production became a memorable experience for the family.
