The actor posted the footage to Instagram on Thursday, October 8, alongside surveillance video that appeared to capture the confrontation.

ABC7 reported Friday that no arrests had been made and detailed descriptions of the suspects were not available.

The robbery happened in the parking lot of Laurel Supply, in the 8400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard near Holloway Drive. Allen said the men wore masks.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department told Entertainment Weekly that two men dressed in black approached the victim. One pointed a silver handgun while the other held a knife and demanded his watch and bracelet.
Allen appears to raise his arms and remove his watch before being pistol-whipped twice, the Los Angeles Times reported. The suspects escaped in an unidentified vehicle with the watch, the department said.
Allen wrote in his caption that the men had threatened to kill him, adding, “My life for a watch.”
Allen Shares a Hospital Update
Deputies responded to the robbery call at approximately 9:05 p.m. The sheriff’s department said the victim suffered a forehead laceration and was evaluated at the scene by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel, who did not transport him to a hospital.
In a reply to a concerned commenter, Allen wrote that he was “def concussed and at hospital,” according to Entertainment Weekly.
Actor Colin Ford offered Allen help in the comments, writing, “Hit me up if you need anything.” Singer Gavin DeGraw also condemned the attack.
West Hollywood Announces Additional Patrols
“West Hollywood is not safe anymore,” Allen wrote in his post. He tagged Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and California Gov. Gavin Newsom while expressing hope that Flock license-plate cameras could help identify the suspects.
West Hollywood said Friday that sheriff’s deputies and the city’s security ambassadors would conduct additional patrols following the robbery, according to MyNewsLA. The city described the attack as “deeply upsetting and unsettling” and said residents’ public-safety concerns were being taken seriously.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to contact West Hollywood Station detectives at (310) 855-8850. Anonymous tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
