Kelly Osbourne has marked the approaching first anniversary of her father Ozzy Osbourne’s death with a tattoo tribute built around one of his most recognizable signatures: his round black glasses.
The television personality and singer, 41, got the design inked on her upper leg during a special tattoo event at the London Eye on Thursday, July 2, according to PEOPLE.
The piece was created by tattoo artist Miles Langford, founder of The London Social. Entertainment Weekly reported that Kelly was among the first people tattooed inside the London Eye’s new rotating tattoo studio.
Ozzy died on July 22, 2025, at age 76. The tattoo comes less than a month before the first anniversary of his death.
The Tattoo Used One of Ozzy’s Most Familiar Images
The tattoo is simple, but the reference is immediate. Ozzy’s round dark glasses were part of his look for decades, from Black Sabbath appearances to solo career performances and public family moments.
PEOPLE reported that a clip shared from the London Eye event showed Kelly looking down as the glasses design was tattooed on her leg. She wore a red-and-white polka-dot dress and had her hair slicked back for the outing.
The design did not need Ozzy’s name to make the tribute clear. For fans, the glasses were enough to point to the late Black Sabbath frontman and the image he carried through much of his public life.
The Tribute Comes Nearly One Year After Ozzy’s Death
Ozzy died after years of health struggles. Entertainment Weekly reported that his cause of death was listed as cardiac arrest and acute myocardial infarction, with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s disease with autonomic dysfunction listed as contributing causes.
He was laid to rest after a funeral procession in Birmingham, England, on July 30, 2025. Entertainment Weekly reported that the procession made stops across his hometown before the private family funeral.
Kelly Has Honored Her Father Several Times Since His Death
The glasses tattoo is not Kelly’s first public tribute to Ozzy. PEOPLE reported that she wore purple-tinted glasses at his funeral procession in Birmingham, a quiet nod to the eyewear associated with him for much of his career.
She also wore a bat-shaped fascinator to Royal Ascot in June, referencing one of the most infamous moments in Ozzy’s career. PEOPLE reported that the accessory nodded to the 1982 concert incident in which Ozzy bit the head off a bat onstage.
Kelly has also shared grief over her father in social media posts. PEOPLE reported that she previously called Ozzy “the best friend I ever had” and described the loss as the hardest moment of her life.
Entertainment Weekly reported that she has continued honoring him through birthday posts and a visit to his grave, writing in one tribute that she would love him “until the end of time.”
