Kim Kardashian credits Ryan Murphy with surrounding her with All’s Fair costars she could learn from. She also suggested she could “hide behind” their performances if she needed to.
The 46-year-old discussed the arrangement on the November 5 episode of The View, appearing alongside Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash-Betts to promote the Hulu drama’s second season.
Kardashian plays Allura Grant, a divorce attorney who helps lead the firm Grant, Ronson & Greene. Watts plays her partner Liberty Ronson, while Nash-Betts is Emerald Greene, a former police officer turned private investigator and partner in the practice.
The ensemble also includes Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson and Teyana Taylor. Kardashian, Watts and Nash-Betts serve as executive producers as well as performers.

“You did not hide, girl!” Watts replied, according to Entertainment Weekly. She recalled watching Kardashian progress from her first day of filming through the end of season two, including improvising dialogue on set.
Nash-Betts added, “You brought your A-game, baby!” She said the cast was impressed and proud of Kardashian. Moderator Whoopi Goldberg also praised her effort to be seen as an actress rather than judged by her existing public image.
Her Castmates Helped With Both Dialogue and Legal Studies
In a separate Glamour interview published November 4, 2025, Kardashian described trying to keep two sets of material straight: her scripts and flashcards for her legal studies. She worked on them at different times to avoid confusing the definitions she needed to remember with her dialogue.
Nash-Betts recalled asking which kind of help Kardashian wanted on set, a quiz for her law exam or a run-through of that day’s lines. Kardashian said her colleagues used the flashcards with her and that acting had helped expand the amount of material she felt able to memorize.
The group also spent time together away from work. During the same interview, Paulson recalled an evening at Kris Jenner’s house watching Fatal Attraction with Close, who supplied commentary about making the film. There were martinis, milkshakes and candy, although Paulson clarified that the gathering wasn’t actually a sleepover.
Season 2 Puts More Focus on the Women Behind the Firm
The first season faced harsh reviews, including from Variety, which criticized its writing and character development. Disney nevertheless announced a renewal on November 24, 2025, describing its launch as Hulu’s biggest original scripted-series premiere in three years, based on the first three days of streaming.
In EW’s September preview, Watts said the cast had stayed close despite the conflicting reactions to their work. Paulson described a change in emphasis for the new episodes: individual divorce cases take up less space, leaving more room for the relationships and rivalries among the main characters.
Those relationships now threaten the business itself. The new season follows shifting allegiances within Grant, Ronson & Greene and a revelation that puts the firm’s future at risk.
The eight-episode season opened with three installments on November 4. New episodes arrive on Wednesdays, with the finale scheduled for December 2, according to Disney+.
