Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff have separated after nearly three years of marriage.

People confirmed on July 8 that the actress, 31, and the Grammy-winning producer and Bleachers frontman, 42, have split, with one source describing the relationship as “rocky.”

A second insider told the outlet that the former couple is “figuring things out.”

Page Six reported that Qualley and Antonoff are trying to navigate the separation with “love and kindness,” while a People source later said they still “love each other deeply.”

The Split Followed Several Public Clues

Speculation about the couple grew after Antonoff attended Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s July 3 wedding in New York City without Qualley. People reported that Antonoff brought his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff, to the event instead.

People reported that Qualley removed wedding photos with Antonoff from her feed, including black-and-white images from their 2023 ceremony. The outlet noted that she kept some posts featuring Antonoff, including a blurry February 2025 photo of the two laughing together.

Sources Say the Breakup Is Not Hostile

A source told People that Qualley and Antonoff remain kind to each other and are handling the process with unity. Page Six also reported that there was no truth to rumors of infidelity and described the breakup as connected to longer-running communication issues.

Neither Qualley nor Antonoff has publicly commented on the split, and representatives for both stars did not respond to People’s requests for comment.

Antonoff is currently on the Bleachers Forever tour, which People reported began in June and is scheduled to run through October. Qualley is in pre-production on the upcoming horror film Possession.

The Couple Married in 2023

Qualley and Antonoff first sparked romance rumors in August 2021 after they were seen kissing in Brooklyn. They went public in 2022 at the AFI Awards Luncheon, became engaged that May and married in New Jersey in August 2023.

Their wedding drew a notable guest list, including Swift, Lana Del Rey, Channing Tatum, Zoë Kravitz and Cara Delevingne.

The relationship also became part of Antonoff’s wider pop-music world when Lana Del Rey released “Margaret,” a song featuring Bleachers that was named after Qualley and inspired by the couple.

Antonoff spoke about the marriage publicly as recently as May, telling Craig Melvin on Today that he loved being married. Qualley also praised Antonoff in a February 2026 Vanity Fair interview, saying she loved her husband and “anything Jack writes.”
