Megan Fox answered a mom-shaming comment on her latest lingerie photos with a joke about her dating history.
The actress posted a gothic Instagram carousel on July 16, wearing sheer black lingerie, a long veil and a digitally added halo. One commenter attacked the photos as embarrassing for a 40-year-old mother and compared the styling to teenage Tumblr posts.
Fox replied with one line: “which one of my exes is this 🧐.” She did not name a former partner or suggest that she had evidence linking the account to anyone she previously dated.
Fox shares three children with former husband Brian Austin Green and a daughter with former fiancé Machine Gun Kelly. Several followers answered the same comment in Fox’s defense.

The commenter wrote that the post was “unbelievably embarrassing” for a 40-year-old mom and called it “16 year old tumblr” material, according to People.
Fox was one of more than 250 accounts that replied to the thread. Her answer kept the insult tied to the joke rather than naming Green, Kelly or anyone else from her past relationships.
Page Six also reported the exchange and described the reply as a swipe at Fox’s exes. No public report has identified the commenter as someone Fox knows personally.
The Photos Used Lingerie and Religious Imagery
The carousel showed Fox in a mesh black bandeau top, black lace underwear and a gauzy veil. In the first image, she posed against an orange backdrop with a glowing halo above her head.
Other photos showed Fox kneeling beside a chair with her hands in a prayer position, posing under red lighting and holding a flame. People reported that she captioned the post, “Men would have them believe disobedience was eves vice, when it was her greatest virtue.”
Photographer Amber Asaly shot the images. Chris Dylan styled Fox’s hair, and Jenna Kristina handled her makeup.
Fans Defended Fox After the Age Comment
Some followers pushed back on the idea that Fox’s age or motherhood should decide what she posts. People quoted one fan writing that someone can “still be hot at any age,” while another mocked the suggestion that 40 was old enough to make the shoot inappropriate.
The criticism centered on Fox being a mother, but the photos did not include her children. Fox has generally kept her children out of provocative posts and public-facing image shoots.
Fox’s children with Green are Noah, Bodhi and Journey. She welcomed daughter Saga Blade with Kelly in 2025.
Fox Returned to Instagram Earlier This Year
People noted that Fox returned to Instagram in 2026 after previously wiping her account. Her first posts back included bold fashion and lingerie-heavy images.
Machine Gun Kelly commented beneath one of those earlier posts after Fox returned to the platform. E! News reported in March that Kelly wrote he was “stoked” he and Fox had welcomed a baby together.
Fox and Kelly began dating in 2020 and announced their engagement in 2022. Their relationship ended before the birth of their daughter, while Fox’s divorce from Green was finalized in 2021.
