Melanie “Mel C” Chisholm has married Australian model and producer Chris Dingwall after quietly becoming engaged during a vacation in Mallorca.
The Spice Girls singer, 52, celebrated with family and friends on Saturday, July 18, at The Country House, a friend’s lakeside property in Cumbria, England. British Vogue documented the wedding through an interview with the bride and photographs from the celebration.
Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell-Horner and Melanie “Mel B” Brown attended the lakeside wedding. Mel C’s 17-year-old daughter, Scarlet, also played a role in developing her mother’s bridal look.
The Couple Wanted a Relaxed Lakeside Wedding
Mel C described the celebration as “quite low-key. Relaxed, romantic and chic.” She and Dingwall exchanged vows at the secluded Lake District property rather than organizing a large public event.
The bride walked down the aisle carrying a loose bouquet of wildflowers. Photographs showed the couple holding hands beside the water and sharing quiet moments outside the country house after the ceremony.
Dingwall wore a dark suit by Zegna, while Mel C completed her bridal look with champagne satin Harlow heels and a Dorian East West clutch from Victoria Beckham. Carl Bembridge styled her hair, and Bekki Mitchell handled her makeup.
“I’m lucky to have my parents still around,” Mel C told British Vogue, explaining that the wedding was meaningful not only to her and Dingwall but also to Scarlet and her parents.

Mel C wore an ivory satin slip gown with a softly draped neckline, an open back and floral lace appliqué. Beckham’s team created the pattern from two types of vintage Lyon lace, which were cut, arranged and hand-stitched onto the dress.
The gown was inspired by the Victoria Beckham Lace Cami Dress Mel C wore during the couple’s earlier legal ceremony in Australia. That first dress had initially been ordered in the wrong size, leaving little time for alterations before Mel C’s flight.
Beckham owned the same design and offered to lend the bride the version from her personal wardrobe. Mel C called it her “something borrowed.”
When Beckham learned that a larger English celebration was planned, she offered to create a more personal version. Scarlet attended the first fitting and requested additional length for the train, joking, “It’s my wedding too!”
“Victoria was so excited about being able to do this for me,” Mel C said. She described having Beckham and Scarlet involved throughout the fitting process as especially meaningful.

Three of Mel C’s four Spice Girls bandmates joined her in Cumbria. Wedding photographs published by British Vogue showed the bride standing outdoors with Bunton, Halliwell-Horner and Brown. “I’m not really a girly girl,” Mel C said, explaining that Beckham’s feminine but understated style still felt natural to her.
Dingwall Proposed During a Mallorca Vacation
Mel C and Dingwall first connected through the dating app Raya and met in Australia in November 2023. “The spark was immediate,” she told British Vogue, adding that they had been difficult to separate since their first date.
Dingwall proposed during a Mallorca vacation in July 2025. After the couple finished a lengthy tasting-menu dinner with wine pairings, they returned to their hotel suite and found that it had been filled with candles.
