Katie Price is facing renewed criticism from PETA after buying a £2,000 puppy in Dubai with her husband, Lee Andrews, days after she said two of her Sphynx cats had gone missing from her home.
The former glamour model and reality-TV personality introduced the new dog in a video with Andrews, describing the puppy as their “baby boy.”
The Sun reported that the couple bought a male pomsky, a cross between a Siberian Husky and a Pomeranian, from World of Pets in Dubai.
Daily Mail and The Mirror reported that PETA criticized Price again over the new pet. The charity said its previous £5,000 offer for Price to stop acquiring animals remains open.
Katie Price and Lee Andrews Bought a Pomsky in Dubai
Price and Andrews shared a video of themselves signing paperwork for the puppy. The Sun reported that Price told followers, “Just like we signed for our marriage, we’ve signed for our baby,” while Andrews called the dog their “baby boy.”
The couple named the blue-eyed puppy Dubaii, with an extra “i,” as a nod to where they bought him. The Sun reported that Price and Andrews described the dog as a rescue, though the outlet said they bought him from a pet shop for about £2,000.
The Sun said it was not yet known whether Dubaii would live in Dubai with Andrews or return to the UK with Price.

PETA has previously offered Price £5,000 if she agrees not to acquire any more animals. IBTimes UK reported that the offer remains on the table after the Dubai puppy purchase.
Mimi Bekhechi, PETA UK’s senior vice president, questioned why Price had flown to another country and acquired a new dog while one of her cats was reportedly still missing. The Mirror reported that Bekhechi also criticized the choice of a pomsky because of Dubai’s heat.
Daily Mail reported that PETA called for Price to be banned from owning pets. The charity has criticized her for years over animals connected to her household, including several pets that died.
The Puppy News Came After Missing-Cat Appeals
The Dubai puppy purchase came shortly after Price said two of her Sphynx cats, Eilleen and Doris, were missing or stolen. The Sun reported that Price told followers she had left for Dubai after seeing the cats at home and said they did not normally disappear from her private property.
Price later said Eilleen had returned, while Doris remained missing, according to IBTimes UK. Andrews had also recently said in a Cameo video that one of Price’s Sphynx cats had died.
The Sun reported that Andrews listed several animals connected to the couple, including Sphynx cats, dogs and horses, while saying he and Price both love animals.
Meg Matthews Also Criticized the Dubai Puppy
Price also responded after Meg Matthews criticized the decision to buy a husky mix in Dubai. The Sun reported that Matthews called the move “utterly irresponsible” and questioned whether the puppy would have the right home and outdoor setup in the heat.
Price replied publicly, saying Matthews did not know her personally and pointing out that Andrews lives in Dubai. “Lee lives in Dubai, my husband,” Price wrote, according to The Sun.
Price’s post presented Dubaii as a new family addition for her and Andrews. PETA, Matthews and other critics framed the purchase as another reason Price should stop acquiring animals.
