Princess Kate has shared new family photos from the finish of her National Three Peaks Challenge, including an emotional hug with Prince William after the endurance climb.
The Sun reported that the Prince and Princess of Wales posted the photos one week after Kate completed the challenge, showing William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis and members of the Middleton family waiting for her at the finish line.
One photo showed William embracing Kate as their children looked on, while another showed Kate pulling Charlotte close after the climb.
The challenge was also deeply tied to Kate’s cancer recovery and her support for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, the organization connected to the hospital where she previously received treatment.
The Children Were Part of the Finish-Line Moment

The image shows a “huge hug” with William, with the couple’s children nearby as the family celebrated the finish together.
PEOPLE reported that Kate’s family, including William, George, Charlotte and Louis, joined her at the end of the challenge. The Sun reported that the carousel also showed Kate embracing and holding hands with her children. One of the most personal images showed Kate pulling Charlotte into a warm hug.
Her parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, and her brother James Middleton were also there.
Kate completed the climb solo with support along the route, but the finish-line photos made clear that the people closest to her were waiting at the end.

The National Three Peaks Challenge requires climbers to scale the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales. The Guardian reported that Kate climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon within 24 hours.
The challenge covers 23 miles and more than 3,000 meters of ascent. The Guardian reported that Kate completed it to raise money and awareness for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, after receiving cancer treatment at The Royal Marsden.
The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity said Kate’s support is intended to help people live well during and beyond their cancer journey, with a focus on holistic care alongside clinical treatment.
Kate’s Message Connected the Climb to Life After Cancer
Kate used the challenge to speak directly about the effect of serious illness. The Guardian reported that she said cancer affects more than the body and changes how a person thinks, feels and experiences life.
She also wrote that the challenge was not simply a physical endeavor, but a way to explore life beyond diagnosis and give something back. The message echoed the more personal tone Kate has used since publicly sharing her cancer diagnosis and later saying she was in remission.
PEOPLE reported that Kate completed the challenge after reducing royal duties during treatment, and that The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity launched a fundraising page connected to her effort to support holistic care for cancer patients.
James Middleton’s Support Added Another Family Layer
The family support around the challenge extended beyond the finish-line photos. PEOPLE reported that a video shared by a fellow hiker showed Kate descending Mount Snowdon hand-in-hand with her brother James Middleton.
James had publicly supported Kate after her cancer announcement in 2024, writing that their family would “climb this mountain” with her. PEOPLE reported that he later said the Middletons are a close family and that support matters when facing difficult moments.
