Stormi Webster came to her interview with Kylie Jenner carrying a stack of pink question cards, and she wasn’t interested in switching roles halfway through.
When Kylie answered a food question and immediately tossed it back to her daughter, Stormi stopped her. “Girl, these are your questions, not mine,” the 8-year-old said. Kylie laughed and surrendered with a quick, “Okay, sorry.”
Stormi and her 4-year-old brother, Aire Webster, interviewed Kylie in an August 30 video posted to the Kylie Jenner YouTube channel. Stormi wrote the questions herself, covering food, childhood memories and some potentially dangerous territory for any Kardashian-Jenner family gathering: favorite siblings and worst dancers.
Aire had his own approach to co-hosting. He opened the video with a clapperboard, announced that viewers were watching his movie, yawned through several answers, declared himself a robot and eventually disappeared before the interview was over.
Stormi Told Kylie: ‘These Are Your Questions, Not Mine’
Stormi first asked Kylie which food she could eat every day. Kylie chose sushi and Greek food, mentioning kebabs and couscous, before asking Stormi what she would pick.
Stormi wasn’t taking questions. “Girl, these are your questions, not mine,” she replied, sending Kylie into a laugh before the interview moved on.
The preparation had apparently been serious business. Kylie told viewers Stormi had come up with every question “all by herself,” while Stormi sighed, said, “It took a lot of work,” and fanned herself with the cards.
Aire Yawned and Eventually Left
Aire claimed the production before the questions even began. After snapping the clapperboard, he looked into the camera and announced, “Hi, I’m Aire. Welcome to my movie.”
His enthusiasm for the actual interview was less consistent. Aire yawned while Kylie was answering one of Stormi’s questions, prompting his mother to ask whether she was boring him. He readily acknowledged the yawn.
Later, he announced that he was a robot and promised to be a good helper. By the final question, Aire had wandered away, leaving Kylie to describe the finished product as her kids, “basically Stormi,” interviewing her.
Kylie Picked Kendall as Her ‘Favorite of the Day’
Stormi eventually moved into family rankings and asked Kylie to choose her favorite sister. Kylie initially refused to pick one, so Stormi narrowed the question to her favorite sister “of the day.” That produced an answer: Kendall Jenner.
Kylie named Rob Kardashian the funniest member of the family. Asked who had the worst dance moves, she chose Kim Kardashian, referring to her as Stormi’s “auntie Kiki” and adding that she thought Kim would be fine with the answer.
Stormi also asked whether Kris Jenner had ever grounded Kylie when she was younger. Kylie confirmed that she had, but told Stormi she would explain why when her daughter was older.
Kylie said her first job was working as a cashier at Smooch, the children’s boutique Kris and Kourtney Kardashian opened before Keeping Up With the Kardashians.
Kylie Wants Stormi to Handle Thanksgiving Dinner One Day
When Stormi asked about things they enjoy doing together, she and Kylie agreed on baking cookies. Kylie then proposed a longer-term culinary arrangement.
“I would love to teach you to cook Thanksgiving food so that every Thanksgiving you can make it for me,” Kylie told her.
Stormi immediately caught the important part. “For you?” she asked.
Kylie confirmed it. She didn’t want to cook Thanksgiving dinner every year.
Stormi later challenged another one of her mother’s answers when Kylie said making friends came easily to her. Kylie pointed to school drop-offs, where she said girls run over when Stormi arrives, and told her daughter she wished she had been more like that at the same age. Aire received a simpler review from his mom: he’s funny.
By the end, Kylie praised Stormi for writing the questions and handling the interview, called her a best friend and thanked her for doing it.
