Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun’s relationship is no longer sitting in rumor territory.
The actress and the former music manager are the subject of a new People photo timeline that tracks the relationship from early sightings in 2025 to more public couple moments in 2026.
People reported that Sweeney and Braun were first linked in September 2025. At the time, a source said the relationship was casual and that Sweeney was “living her life and working hard.”
By December, a source told People that Braun and Sweeney were “going strong,” were in a committed relationship and that “things are serious.”
The Relationship Started Quietly Before Turning Serious
People’s timeline says Sweeney and Braun were spotted in September at the David Kordansky Gallery, followed by a private dinner with friends. The same timeline includes Central Park photos from November that showed the couple kissing and cuddling in public.
Those sightings followed reports that the pair met at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s wedding in Venice, Italy. The relationship was not introduced with a formal red-carpet appearance or a joint interview; it moved through source comments, photo sightings and then their own social media posts.
By spring 2026, the photos were no longer limited to paparazzi shots. Sweeney and Braun had started appearing in posts connected to her work, his birthday and their shared public outings.
Stagecoach Put Them on Sweeney’s Instagram

Braun made the relationship Instagram official in April when he reshared a black-and-white photo of himself and Sweeney on Instagram Stories and wrote “lucky bastard,” according to People.
Sweeney followed in May with her own Instagram carousel from Stagecoach, captioned “cowboy kind of weekend.” People reported that the post included a photo of the couple at the California festival, and InStyle noted that the carousel marked a major public step in the relationship.
The Stagecoach photos were followed by more couple moments, including photos from Australia, a beach selfie, a shot of Braun escorting Sweeney from an Euphoria afterparty and images from their Knicks outings.
Braun Publicly Praised Sweeney
Braun spoke about Sweeney during a May appearance on Suzy Weiss’ Second Thought podcast. “I’ve met an extraordinary woman, kind and generous and smart, and real and down to earth,” he said, according to People.
He also called the relationship one of the biggest surprises of his life. When asked about Euphoria, Braun said he was biased and praised “a certain actress” for an “incredible performance,” according to InStyle.
People also reported that a source said Braun finds the headlines around the relationship funny and that he and Sweeney are “totally confident and comfortable” together.
Their Knicks Dates Kept Them Visible

Sweeney and Braun’s recent basketball outings added another public chapter. InStyle reported that the couple attended the NBA Finals on June 13, wearing coordinating Knicks gear as New York beat the San Antonio Spurs and won its first championship in more than 50 years.
Sweeney posted photos and videos from the outing, including a selfie with Braun captioned, “My good luck charm.” People’s photo timeline also includes the couple cheering for the Knicks in coordinating looks on June 10.
People reported that Braun supported Sweeney at her SYRN lingerie pop-up event at The Bigg Chill in Los Angeles on June 11, one day after the couple celebrated the Knicks’ Madison Square Garden win. The two left the event smiling and holding hands.
Both Came Into the Romance After Long Relationships
Sweeney was previously engaged to businessman Jonathan Davino before calling off the engagement in March 2025. People reported that the engagement had lasted three years.
Braun was previously married to activist Yael Cohen. They split in 2021, divorced in 2022 and share three children.
