Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding weekend has produced another online debate, this time over what one guest wore to the ceremony.

Eras Tour dancer Tori Evans drew criticism after posting a video of herself and her husband, TJ Shaw, getting ready for Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden.

Entertainment Weekly reported that some fans thought Evans’ pale gown looked too close to white, a color many wedding guests avoid out of respect for the bride.

Evans shared a video from the wedding weekend showing her in a pale strapless gown with bright green heels and a matching scarf. PEOPLE described the dress as a pale pink drop-waist, floor-length silk gown, paired with chartreuse pointed-toe heels and a coordinating silk scarf.

Entertainment Weekly reported that some users called the look too close to white, while others said it crossed a basic wedding-etiquette line.

Shaw pushed back in the comments, saying Evans’ dress was not white. Entertainment Weekly reported that he called the gown “pink champagne” and said lighting made the color appear lighter than it was.

The attention around Evans also comes from her role in Swift’s professional circle. She was one of the dancers on the Eras Tour, which ran from March 2023 to December 2024 and became one of the defining live-music events of Swift’s career.

Entertainment Weekly noted that Evans was a core member of the tour, which spanned 149 shows across 51 cities and five continents. The outlet also reported that she has worked with major artists including Beyoncé, Jennifer Hudson, Cardi B, Mary J. Blige, Jason Derulo and Maroon 5.
