Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s reported wedding weekend at Madison Square Garden moved into its first major private event Thursday night as guests were seen arriving for what multiple outlets described as the couple’s rehearsal dinner.
CBS News reported that the rehearsal dinner was held Thursday evening at the Infosys Theater inside Madison Square Garden, citing two law enforcement sources familiar with security planning for the events. The sources said the Thursday gathering was for around 100 people.
Earlier in the day, a vehicle believed to be carrying Swift was seen arriving at Madison Square Garden. TMZ reported that a white Chevrolet Suburban believed to be transporting the bride-to-be pulled into MSG Thursday afternoon ahead of the expected rehearsal dinner.
The reported Thursday dinner followed days of visible preparations around the arena, including equipment deliveries, street-permit reports, security planning and celebrity arrivals in New York City.

The Daily Mail also reported that Swift’s convoy entered through the back of Madison Square Garden before the rehearsal dinner. The outlet described the arrival as part of the buildup to the couple’s larger reported wedding celebration.
The back-door arrival came as security around MSG continued to draw attention. CBS News reported that guests for the larger Friday celebration are expected to enter through a special VIP area covered by a tent, and that security officials are expecting about 500 vehicles to bring guests to the venue.
The NYPD is preparing for additional traffic, media, fans and paparazzi around the events, according to CBS News. The outlet also reported that Swift and Kelce have hired private security.
Selena Gomez Arrived in Black and Diamonds
Selena Gomez attended the rehearsal dinner Thursday night, according to PEOPLE. The outlet reported that Gomez wore a black dress with Fernando Jorge diamond earrings and a diamond ring.
Gomez shared an Instagram Stories video from the night showing her applying a Rare Beauty lipstick. Earlier Thursday, she also posted a photo with husband Benny Blanco and wrote, “i wish benny was here rn 💕.”
PEOPLE reported that Gomez and Swift first crossed paths in 2008 while they were each dating a Jonas brother, and Swift later attended Gomez’s 2025 wedding to Blanco.

PEOPLE reported that guests were spotted arriving at Madison Square Garden around 6 p.m. Thursday for what was believed to be the rehearsal dinner. The photographed arrivals included Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Abigail Anderson, Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson, Greg Olsen and Aric Jones.
Antonoff arrived in a suit with his sister, fashion designer Rachel Antonoff, who wore a pink feathered dress and heels, according to PEOPLE. Antonoff has been one of Swift’s closest musical collaborators since 2013, co-writing and producing songs across albums including Folklore and Midnights.
The guest list mixed Swift’s longtime creative circle with names connected to Kelce’s sports world. PEOPLE reported that Erin Andrews, Charissa Thompson, former NFL tight end Greg Olsen and Aric Jones were among the arrivals at the venue.
Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper Were Also Linked to the Night

WWD reported that Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper were among the guests seen heading to the rehearsal dinner. Hadid has been one of Swift’s most recognizable longtime friends, while Cooper has been dating Hadid since 2023.
Entertainment Weekly also reported that Hadid and Cooper were among the celebrities connected to the Thursday gathering, along with Adam Sandler, Lena Dunham, Jack Antonoff, Erin Andrews and Greg Olsen.
The arrivals followed earlier reports that Swift and Kelce’s plans included a smaller July 2 event and a larger July 3 celebration. CBS News reported that the Thursday rehearsal dinner was scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and run until 10:30 p.m.
The Rehearsal Dinner Followed Days of MSG Preparations
In the days before the rehearsal dinner, Madison Square Garden had already become the center of a highly visible setup. PEOPLE reported that trucks were seen outside the arena Monday, June 29, with workers loading equipment, grass and decorations inside.
The outlet also reported that boxes labeled “Garden Party” and “Mirror Ball” were spotted outside the venue. A source told PEOPLE they had “never seen” Madison Square Garden “look so different.”
CBS News reported that the larger Friday celebration is expected to accommodate around 1,000 people, with the space booked until 4 a.m. The outlet said guests are expected to be treated to cocktails on the sixth-floor concourse, a ceremony on the arena floor and a reception scheduled to run late into the night.
