Taylor Swift has celebrated plenty of Travis Kelce touchdowns from an Arrowhead Stadium suite. His first one of the 2026 season came with a distinctly newlywed reaction from his wife.
Kelce scored on a 13-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes during the first quarter of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Sunday night game against the Indianapolis Colts on Sept. 20.
The touchdown put Kansas City ahead 10-7 and sent Kelce to the end zone for the first time this season. Cameras then found Swift in the suite with her parents, Andrea and Scott Swift.
She jumped up, pointed repeatedly toward the rings on her left hand and appeared to shout, “That’s my husband,” before celebrating with the people around her. Entertainment Weekly and People both reported the moment.

Cornerback Kristian Fulton intercepted Colts quarterback Daniel Jones on a pass intended for Keenan Allen deep in Indianapolis territory, giving Mahomes and the offense possession at the 16-yard line.
After Kenneth Walker III gained three yards on first down, Mahomes found Kelce on the left side. The veteran tight end powered into the end zone for a 13-yard touchdown and Kansas City’s first lead of the night.
The NFL highlighted the touchdown as the first Mahomes-to-Kelce scoring connection of the 2026 season. The league then gave Swift’s reaction almost as much attention as the play itself, sharing video from the suite and describing her as a “proud wife.”
Swift Was Pointing to Her New Wedding-Ring Stack
The singer was wearing the old mine-cut diamond engagement ring Kelce gave her together with the wedding band she added after their July marriage. People noted the full ring stack during both of Kansas City’s first two games of the season.
Swift and Kelce married at Madison Square Garden on July 3 after keeping many of the ceremony details private beforehand. Her representative confirmed that Adam Sandler officiated, while the couple chose not to have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen. Austin Swift served as his sister’s man of honor, and Jason Kelce was his brother’s best man.
Kelce has been more willing to discuss how the day felt than to share its more private details. At training camp in August, he called the wedding “the best night of my life.” He later told ESPN’s Chris Berman that marrying Swift was “more than I could have ever dreamed it to be” because of the people who attended and “the amount of love that was in the air.”

Swift had already spent much of Kansas City’s Sept. 14 opener against the Denver Broncos on her feet. One of her biggest reactions came when Kelce broke free for a 59-yard reception during the third quarter of the Chiefs’ 31-10 victory.
That catch moved him past former Dallas Cowboys star Jason Witten for second place on the NFL’s career receiving-yards list among tight ends. Kansas City credited Kelce with 13,073 career receiving yards after the opener, leaving only former Chiefs tight end Tony Gonzalez ahead of him.
Kelce finished the Denver game with three receptions for 71 yards but did not reach the end zone. Pat McAfee, who spent time in the same suite that night, later described Swift as fully invested in the football itself. He recalled the group erupting when Kelce broke loose on the 59-yard play and said Swift was “all in” throughout the game.
Kelce Turned the Touchdown Into His First 100-Yard Game of 2026
The 13-yard score became part of Kelce’s biggest receiving performance of the young season. He caught nine passes for 101 yards and the touchdown, giving him his first 100-yard game of 2026. Through two games, he has 12 receptions for 172 yards and one score.
Mahomes finished 32 of 47 for 382 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. Xavier Worthy and Jalen Royals caught his other two touchdown passes. Walker contributed 117 rushing yards on 24 carries and another 61 yards on six receptions as Kansas City produced 523 total yards.
The Chiefs still needed overtime to finish the job. Harrison Butker kicked a 31-yard field goal on Kansas City’s first possession of the extra period, but Indianapolis answered with Spencer Shrader’s 38-yarder.
Mahomes then connected with Walker for 22 yards on the Chiefs’ final drive, moving Kansas City deep into Colts territory. Butker hit a 40-yard field goal as time expired to give the Chiefs a 33-30 victory and a 2-0 start.
