Swift and Kelce skipped a traditional bridal party to honor two of the most important people in their lives.
The singer, Taylor Swift, chose her younger brother, Austin Swift, as her man of honor, according to PEOPLE. Kelce also kept the ceremony role in the family, with his older brother Jason Kelce serving as best man.
The choice meant Swift and Kelce did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen, even though the wedding itself was a large New York celebration with celebrity guests, NFL stars and major public attention outside MSG.
Swift’s representative confirmed the wedding-party setup after the couple married on Friday, July 3. “Taylor & Travis did not have bridesmaids or groomsmen,” the representative told PEOPLE. “Instead, her brother Austin Swift served as Taylor’s Man of Honor and Jason Kelce was Travis’ Best Man.”
The Couple Kept the Wedding Party in the Family
Page Six reported that Swift and Kelce skipped a traditional bridal party to honor two of the most important people in their lives.
Austin has long been part of Swift’s inner circle, both personally and professionally. He has appeared at major moments in her career, supported her at public events and has often been included in family-centered milestones around her music.
Jason’s role was equally expected. He and Travis have built much of their public identity around their close brotherhood, from their NFL careers to their New Heights podcast.
Austin Swift Had the Role Usually Given to a Maid of Honor
Swift’s choice of Austin as man of honor avoided the public guessing game over which of her famous friends would stand beside her. Before the wedding, fans speculated about names from her longtime circle, including Selena Gomez, Gigi Hadid and Abigail Anderson.
The final decision kept the most visible ceremony role with her brother. That made the choice more personal than a large celebrity bridal party would have been, especially at a wedding already surrounded by intense public attention.
PEOPLE reported that Swift has served as a bridesmaid herself at close friends’ weddings, including Abigail Anderson’s 2017 wedding and Lena Dunham’s 2021 wedding. For her own ceremony, she chose a different structure.
Jason Kelce Stood Beside Travis
Jason Kelce served as Travis’ best man as the brothers marked another major life moment together. The former Philadelphia Eagles center has remained closely tied to Travis’ public life through their podcast and their shared NFL history.
Reuters reported that no additional bridesmaids or groomsmen participated in the ceremony, according to Swift’s representatives.
Jason’s role also kept Kelce’s side of the wedding party focused on family instead of teammates. Several NFL figures were connected to the celebration, but the official best-man role went to his brother.
The Ceremony Was Still a Huge MSG Event

Swift and Kelce married at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Reuters reported that Swift’s publicist confirmed the marriage after the ceremony Friday night.
The wedding drew a major guest list and heavy attention outside the arena. Reuters reported that Jennifer Lopez, Ed Sheeran, Jimmy Fallon, Abby Wambach, Hugh Grant, Jason Sudeikis and Ethan Hawke were among the stars seen arriving at MSG.
The ceremony was officiated by Adam Sandler, who was described by Swift’s representative as a friend of the couple. “The ceremony joined both families together and was officiated by friend Adam Sandler,” the representative said, according to Reuters.
