Todd Tucker is opening up about parts of his marriage to Kandi Burruss that were never fully explained while the couple was together.
In a new trailer for his upcoming ‘Til Divorce Do Us Part film, Tucker claims that he and the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star participated in threesomes during “most” of their 11-year marriage. The comment came after fellow RHOA ex-husband Peter Thomas directly asked him about their sex life, according to Us Weekly.
Burruss has openly acknowledged that she and Tucker sometimes invited another woman into their bedroom, but said in 2023 that it did not happen often. She did confirm at the time that they had done so within the previous six months.
Tucker’s comment arrives roughly six months after he and Burruss finalized their divorce and as he prepares to tell his version of the breakup on camera. The new project brings him together with several other men whose relationships with Real Housewives of Atlanta stars also played out publicly.

Thomas asks Tucker directly whether he and his ex-wife participated in threesomes. Tucker answers that they did before adding, “I would say most of our marriage we did.” Thomas reacts with surprise and jokes that the admission makes him look like a “saint.”
TheGrio reported that the project also features Apollo Nida and other men with ties to the Atlanta franchise. Peter Thomas was married to Cynthia Bailey, Nida to Phaedra Parks, Ralph Pittman to Drew Sidora, and Dennis McKinley was engaged to Porsha Williams.
Kandi Had Already Confirmed They Sometimes Had Threesomes
Burruss had discussed the couple’s sex life herself years before their divorce. During a 2023 episode of Kandi Koated Live, Burruss was asked whether she and Tucker still had threesomes or whether that was something they had only experimented with earlier in their relationship.
Burruss said it did not happen “that often,” but confirmed that they had participated in one within the previous six months, as later recounted by Essence. She had also discussed her preferences before then. In a 2021 interview, Burruss said she was comfortable with another woman joining her in the bedroom but had no interest in adding another man, according to Black America Web.
Bravo had explored similar territory even earlier. A 2018 Kandi Koated Nights segment featured Burruss, Tucker and the panel discussing open relationships and the boundaries couples establish around sex. In 2017, she directly denied a claim that she had slept with friend Shamea Morton after the rumor circulated during RHOA Season 9.
‘Til Divorce Do Us Part’ Is Tucker’s Version of What Happened
‘Til Divorce Do Us Part is a reality-style film following Tucker in the aftermath of the divorce. In addition to Thomas, Nida, McKinley and Pittman, earlier promotional material has shown Tucker discussing his marriage, his own mistakes and the circumstances surrounding the split with people in his personal circle.
“Divorce is never easy!” Tucker wrote while promoting an earlier teaser, according to Us Weekly. He said he never expected divorce to become his story and hoped others could learn from his experience. TheGrio reported that marketing for the project tells viewers they previously heard one side and promises a look at what happened “behind closed doors.”
The trailer also shows the men discussing a possible sports bar venture, giving the film a life-after-divorce component. The project is expected to begin playing in select theaters in October.
Their Split Also Brought Allegations About Other Women
Burruss announced in November 2025 that she was ending the marriage after more than 11 years. Shortly afterward, an unnamed source told People that Burruss had allegedly discovered Tucker was communicating with other women without her knowledge. The source claimed she had not known about the conversations before discovering them.
The marriage had also shown signs of strain years earlier. During a 2020 couples-therapy session shown on RHOA, Burruss and Tucker discussed how demanding work schedules were affecting the time and intimacy they shared.
Kandi and Todd Finalized Their Divorce in March
The former couple’s divorce became final on March 24, 2026, when a Fulton County Superior Court judge signed their final judgment and divorce decree. Under the settlement, Burruss agreed to make a $426,000 lump-sum payment to Tucker. The former couple also agreed to joint legal and physical custody of their two children, Ace and Blaze.
Burruss and Tucker married on April 4, 2014, after meeting while filming The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2011. Tucker was working behind the scenes on the Bravo series when their relationship began.
Both also entered the marriage with daughters from previous relationships, Burruss is mother to Riley, while Tucker is father to Kaela. Despite the split, Burruss has said they intend to continue operating as a family for their children.
During a January appearance on Today With Jenna & Sheinelle, she said they had decided they would remain committed to being good coparents and would sometimes continue spending holidays together. “We’re still a family, even though he and I have decided to go our separate ways,” Burruss said.
