Angelina Jolie’s youngest children are now adults, and that milestone appears to be opening the door to a life she has been imagining for years.
People reported that Jolie feels ready for a new chapter now that twins Knox and Vivienne have turned 18.
InStyle reported that the birthday gives the actress more freedom and flexibility after years of making decisions around her children’s lives in Los Angeles.
The Twins’ Birthday Changes Jolie’s Options

Knox and Vivienne turned 18 on July 12, making all six of Jolie’s children legal adults.
Jolie shares Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne with ex-husband Brad Pitt. Their divorce was finalized in December 2024, but the younger twins reaching adulthood marks a separate turning point after years of custody headlines.
People also reported that Jolie remains active professionally, with recent and upcoming projects including Couture, Sunny and Anxious People.

Jolie has said before that she stayed in Los Angeles because of the divorce and her children. Now, according to People’s source, she has been thinking for a long time about spending more time outside the city.
Jolie has long had a global life through film, humanitarian work and family ties, especially in Cambodia, where she adopted Maddox.
People reported that Jolie wants to spend more time internationally and with family abroad.
She Recently Listed Her Historic Home
InStyle noted that Jolie listed her Los Angeles mansion for nearly $30 million in May. People reported that the Los Feliz estate was listed for $29.85 million and that Jolie purchased the property for $24.5 million in 2017, the year after she filed for divorce from Pitt.
The historic property was once owned by filmmaker Cecil B. DeMille and includes a main residence, guesthouse, pool house, tea house and other structures.
