At 37, Brittany Snow was living in an Airbnb after her split from Tyler Stanaland, trying to picture what came next. She remembers looking at her dog and saying, “It’s just you and me, kiddo.”
Three years later, the Pitch Perfect actress surprised herself with what she had to say about the end of her marriage. “I can’t believe I’m grateful for my divorce,” Snow, 40, told Dax Shepard on the November 2 episode of Armchair Expert. She traced that feeling to how much she’d changed and to the person she now shares her life with.
It was the wedding date that had caught Shepard’s attention. Snow married Stanaland, a real estate agent who went on to star in Netflix’s Selling the OC, on March 14, 2020. Shepard asked her to think back to what it was like to start a marriage just as the pandemic was shutting things down.
The couple announced their separation in September 2022, and Snow filed for divorce the following January. A judge approved the divorce in July 2023, with both legally single as of August 11, according to court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight.
The Stories Snow Searched for on Reddit After the Split
Snow wanted to hear from women who remembered being where she was. She especially appreciated the friends who said, “That happened to me.”
Snow also searched Reddit for accounts from women who’d started over in their late 30s. What interested her most was what came afterward, especially the stories of women who went on to find love again.
Snow Shared Photos From Paris With Hunter Moreno
Snow referred to her current partner in the interview without naming him. She and photographer Hunter Moreno were first linked in October 2024. In November 2025, Us Weekly reported that the two were engaged.
In March, Snow included Moreno in photos from her 40th birthday getaway, according to People. In September, she posted pictures from Paris, where the couple visited the Eiffel Tower and stopped at a photo booth. “We went to Paris & no, we can’t shut up about it,” she wrote on Instagram.
What Snow Told Alex Cooper About Watching Selling the OC
On Call Her Daddy in March 2024, Cooper asked Snow about watching Stanaland with his castmates on Selling the OC. Snow said she didn’t know the women on the show and had been unaware of some of what she saw. Stanaland responded on Instagram that he had never been unfaithful during their marriage, according to Entertainment Weekly. He married Hannah Morrissey in November 2025.
Cooper also asked about the hardest days after the breakup. At one point, Snow said, she texted a Pitch Perfect co-star, one of the women who’d played a Barden Bella alongside her. She wanted to know what to do on a day when the pain felt like too much. Her friend’s answer stuck with her. “You just sit there,” Snow recalled. “You just sit there, and you just take it, and you just exist.”
