Cardi B has never been one to bite her tongue, and this holiday season, she’s serving a side of roasted critics with her Christmas leftovers.
The “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to social media on Monday to shut down a wave of online backlash surrounding her relationship with New England Patriots wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The controversy ignited over the weekend when eagle-eyed fans noticed the couple spent Christmas apart. Diggs was with his other children, and Cardi was with her own, including the couple’s newborn son.
While the internet immediately spiraled into theories about a breakup or “trouble in paradise,” Cardi wasted no time setting the record straight in a viral video that has fans (and haters) clutching their pearls.
In a video posted to X on Monday morning, Cardi addressed the “internet relationship experts” directly. Visibly annoyed, she dismantled the narrative that spending a holiday apart signaled the end of their romance.
“Y’all need to calm down. Is y’all cool?” Cardi asked the camera. “Y’all been dragging me for three or four days, and y’all been a little too mean.”
She then dropped the quote that is already trending worldwide. Addressing fans who seem to want her to leave Diggs, she asked a very biological question: “I can’t change sh*t. I already had a baby. Y’all want me to put my baby back in my p**sy? I don’t know what y’all want me to do.”
She continued her masterclass in shutdown tactics, asking critics, “You want me to just leave my man and just go and f**k yours? We can only go forward now.”
The “Christmas Crisis” Explained

The drama started when Cardi posted from her own home with her kids, Kulture, Wave, and Blossom, and Diggs posted Instagram Stories showing him celebrating “One of my boys’ first Christmas” with his other children.
The separate celebrations led to accusations that Diggs was an “absent father” to their newborn. However, sources close to the couple say the outrage has been exaggerated.
Cardi’s close friend and frequent collaborator, Ken Barbie, stepped in to defend the couple’s co-parenting arrangements. “Cardi has her own kids, Stefon does too,” Barbie wrote on X. “If baby moms are on some ‘my kids can’t come unless I’m there’ then that’s just what it is… There are no secrets, no surprises.”
Barbie emphasized that blended families often have complicated schedules, noting that it would have been “insane” for Diggs not to see his other children on the holiday.
Despite the digital noise, the couple appears to be fine. Diggs himself acknowledged the distance on Christmas Day, reposting a photo of Cardi holding their son with the caption, “Miss yaw… Don’t be squeezing him too tight, you’re making him soft.”
The pair has had a whirlwind year. After sparking rumors in early 2025 and going official in June, they welcomed their first child together in November. Diggs, who had a standout season with the Patriots, has been frequently spotted with Cardi at games and on the red carpet.
Cardi’s message to her fans for the incoming year was simple: “I want good for y’all. I want health, money, and prosperity. Wish me the same. All right, leave me alone, though.”
