Costco members are seeing lower prices on several Kirkland Signature items, including chicken wings, chocolate-covered almonds, golf balls, and king-size sheets.

The price cuts came up during Costco’s May 28 earnings call, where executives pointed to Kirkland Signature as one of the company’s strongest value tools for members.

The biggest listed drop was on Kirkland Signature King Size Sheets, which fell by $10. Other reductions were smaller, but they hit items shoppers actually recognize from regular warehouse trips.

The move arrives while many shoppers are still watching grocery bills closely. Costco executives framed the cuts as part of the company’s broader effort to lower prices when it can, rather than waiting for competitors to move first.

People reported that Costco CFO Gary Millerchip listed several Kirkland Signature price cuts during the company’s fiscal third-quarter earnings call.

Kirkland Signature Crispy Wings dropped from $16.99 to $14.99.

Kirkland Signature Milk Chocolate Almonds fell from $19.99 to $18.99.

Kirkland Signature Golf Balls went from $32.99 to $29.99.

Kirkland Signature King Size Sheets dropped from $89.99 to $79.99.

Fox Business described the reductions as ranging from about $1 to $10 across food, home goods, and sporting equipment.

Millerchip said Costco’s goal is “to be the first to lower prices where we see opportunities to do so,” according to People.

CEO Ron Vachris gave the same broader pricing message during the call, saying Costco has long tried to be “the first to go down and the last to go up.”

The company did not present the cuts as a short-term sale. The reductions were described as part of how Costco wants to keep its private-label items competitive while shoppers continue comparing prices across grocery, fuel, and household categories.

Kirkland Is Still a Growth Driver for Costco

Millerchip said Kirkland Signature is “driving growth in food and sundries,” according to People.

The company also pointed to newer Kirkland products, including Kirkland Signature Energy Drink, Kirkland Signature Sea Salt Popcorn, and Kirkland Signature Ultra-Filtered Milk.

Fox Business reported that Kirkland Signature boneless chicken tenders also fell by 13%, which helped drive a 21% increase in pounds sold.

The price cuts are useful for Costco because Kirkland products are not only cheaper alternatives to national brands. They also keep members returning for items they can only buy at Costco.

The Cuts Follow Other Kirkland Price Moves

Costco has made similar reductions before. Fox Business reported that in 2024, Kirkland Signature macadamia nuts dropped from $18.99 to $13.99, a three-liter Spanish olive oil dropped from $38.99 to $34.99, standard foil went from $31.99 to $29.99, laundry packs fell from $19.99 to $18.99, and a baguette two-pack dropped from $5.99 to $4.99.

The latest cuts also arrive after some shoppers complained online about higher Kirkland prices. Fox Business noted that shoppers had previously flagged the rising cost of Kirkland chocolate-covered almonds on social media.

People also reported that a recent Kirkland Signature bagel change divided shoppers. Some liked the smaller single-pack format because it could reduce food waste, while others argued the smaller package made the value worse compared with the old two-pack setup.

What Shoppers Should Check Before Buying

The price reductions named on Costco’s earnings call give members a useful short list, but local warehouse pricing can vary by location and availability.

Shoppers looking for the lower prices should check the warehouse tag, Costco.com, or the Costco app before assuming every club has the same price at the same time.

The cleanest savings are on items members already planned to buy. A $1 or $2 rollback can disappear quickly if the lower price pushes shoppers into a bulk purchase they do not need.
