A Michigan judge has issued a bench warrant for Kim Mathers after she failed to appear in court in connection with two impaired-driving cases.

Mathers, 51, who was previously married to Eminem, was scheduled to appear before Judge William Hackel III in 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore, Michigan, on Wednesday, June 24.

ClickOnDetroit reported that she did not show up for a 9 a.m. sentencing hearing tied to a February crash. Page Six reported that a $10,000 bond was set after the warrant was issued.

The missed appearance came after Mathers pleaded no contest in May to operating while impaired and failing to stop after a collision in the February case. She also had a probable cause hearing scheduled the same day in a separate May case, where she has been charged with OWI-third offense.

ClickOnDetroit reported that Judge Hackel issued the bench warrant after Mathers missed the sentencing hearing. The judge’s clerk confirmed to Local 4 that Mathers did not appear.

Page Six reported that Mathers had not been arrested as of Wednesday afternoon and that her bond was set at $10,000.

The February case stems from a Feb. 16 crash in Macomb County. People previously reported that prosecutors said Mathers was driving a Range Rover when she struck a parked Dodge Ram, pushing the pickup more than 50 feet from where it had been parked.

Mathers Pleaded No Contest in the February Case

Mathers entered a no-contest plea on May 11 to operating while impaired and failing to stop after a collision, People reported.

ClickOnDetroit reported that Mathers had been scheduled for sentencing in that case when she missed court.

The February charges were misdemeanors. Fox 2 Detroit reported at the time of the plea that operating while impaired carries up to 93 days in jail, while failing to report an accident carries up to 90 days.

She Also Faces a Separate OWI-Third-Offense Case

Mathers’ June 24 court calendar also included a probable cause hearing tied to a separate May arrest, according to ClickOnDetroit.

The outlet reported that Mathers was arrested in Chesterfield Township on May 14, three days after entering her no-contest plea in the February case. In the May incident, police said she crashed her vehicle into another car while intoxicated.

CBS News Detroit reported that Mathers was charged with OWI-third offense in the May case. The Macomb County Prosecutor’s Office said that charge carries a penalty of up to five years in prison and mandatory vehicle immobilization if the vehicle is not forfeited.

Prosecutors Raised Bond Concerns After the May Arrest

During Mathers’ May 28 arraignment, Macomb County Assistant Prosecutor Joseph McCarthy told the judge that Mathers may have violated bond conditions from the February case, ClickOnDetroit reported.

Judge Hackel said an evidentiary hearing would be held to address that issue, though the local outlet reported that it was not clear whether the hearing had taken place.

ClickOnDetroit reported that the judge also required Mathers to wear an alcohol monitoring device after posting bond and to sign up for in-patient or out-patient counseling.

Mathers and Eminem Were Married Twice

Mathers was married to Eminem, whose real name is Marshall Mathers, from 1999 to 2001. The two remarried in January 2006, but Eminem filed for divorce three months later, according to Page Six.

Mathers and Eminem share daughter Hailie Jade. Page Six reported that Eminem also adopted Alaina Marie Scott, Mathers’ niece, and Stevie Laine Scott, Mathers’ child from another relationship.
