HGTV star Jasmine Roth, 42, and her husband, Brett, have welcomed their third daughter, a representative confirmed to PEOPLE in an announcement published October 16.

Chloe Lou Roth was born on October 7 at 10:33 p.m., weighing 6 pounds, 11 ounces and measuring 19 inches long.

She joins the couple’s older daughters, Hazel Lynn, 6, and Darla Rose, 2.

Chloe received light therapy for jaundice after birth. Roth said she and the baby were home and healthy, and that she was concentrating on resting, nursing and sleeping alongside her youngest daughter.

Roth told HGTV that a routine hospital appointment revealed contractions she hadn’t felt. She went to labor and delivery, and Chloe arrived nine hours later.

She had prepared with birthing classes and gave birth without medication, coached by a doula. Staying at the hospital after the appointment gave her time to prepare mentally.

Roth remembered recovering more comfortably after Darla’s unmedicated birth than after her first delivery, but she described this latest experience as physically demanding. She joked that if she had to do it again immediately, she would request an epidural from the beginning.

Darla had arrived at 36 weeks in September 2024, with Roth barely reaching the hospital before giving birth. Her daughter subsequently spent time in neonatal intensive care.

Chloe Lou’s Name Honors Roth’s Mother and Grandmother

“We really struggled to find a name this time around!” Roth told PEOPLE. She wanted something with the same vintage feel as her older daughters’ names and liked that neither she nor Brett closely knew anyone named Chloe.

Lou comes from Louise, the middle name shared by Roth’s mother and maternal grandmother. Roth said her mother became emotional when she learned about the tribute, and she said her late grandmother would have loved to meet the baby.

In a May interview with PEOPLE, Roth explained the couple’s naming rules: names should be straightforward to spell and sound believable for a future Supreme Court justice. She called the latter her family’s “Supreme Court Test.”

Hazel had been lobbying for a different choice: Cupcake.

The Family Is Welcoming Chloe Without a Move in Progress

After more than a year of trying and medical intervention to conceive Darla, Roth hadn’t expected another pregnancy so quickly when she and Brett began trying again.

Roth discovered she was expecting on the Monday after the Super Bowl, while packing for a family snowboarding trip to Japan. The couple replaced that vacation with a beach trip and shared the news with relatives through a group text followed by FaceTime calls.

After moving from California to Utah two years ago, Roth said this was the first birth that hadn’t coincided with a move. Relatives stepped in to care for the older girls when labor began.

Hazel has enthusiastically offered to hold and help care for Chloe. Darla has been more hesitant, repeatedly saying “baby” and wanting to touch her younger sister’s soft hair.

Roth Turned a Storage Room Into Chloe’s Nursery

On October 15, Roth shared a video of the nursery she said she had finished before Chloe’s arrival. The small room in the family’s Park City home had mostly been used for storage.

She described the style as “Grand Millennial,” combining traditional furnishings with modern details. The room includes a vintage-style crib, a white glider, a green dresser and soft pink accents.

In a post on her website, Roth explained that the room sits behind the kitchen and had also served as a playroom, piano lesson room and guest room. She replaced recessed lights with decorative fixtures and added a lamp to soften the lighting.

She commissioned a quilt and bought three original pieces from a Massachusetts artist, a reference to meeting Brett while they were in college in Boston. The dresser doubles as a changing station and provides storage the family can keep using as Chloe grows.

Each older sister also has a drawer of dolls in the nursery closet, so they can imitate their mother and care for their own babies.
