Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are reportedly dating, with an unnamed source describing the relationship as “casual” in an Oct. 19 Page Six report.
The report followed an Oct. 16 party in Los Angeles hosted by talent manager Cade Hudson. Lopez, 57, entered with her longtime manager, Benny Medina, while Goldstein, 46, went in separately. They reportedly traveled to and from the gathering in the same car.
The source said they both enjoy restaurants and parties. Neither actor has publicly confirmed a relationship, and their representatives did not respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Their comedy, Office Romance, debuted on Netflix on June 5, with both stars also serving as producers. Goldstein co-wrote the screenplay with Joe Kelly, his collaborator on Ted Lasso.
They Denied Dating During Their June ‘Today’ Interview
Savannah Guthrie asked the pair about their offscreen relationship on June 2, during the movie’s promotional tour. She played a clip of Lopez naming Goldstein her “best kisser,” according to Us Weekly. That compliment came from an Oct. 15, 2025, appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, as PEOPLE documented at the time.
Lopez explained that she is routinely linked to men she works with or spends time around. Goldstein joined in: “I think if you stand near her, that’s what happens.” He joked that this was why he had stayed so close to her throughout their appearance.
When Guthrie pressed for a direct answer, Lopez pointed to earlier speculation about Kevin Costner and said, “Doesn’t make it true.” Asked explicitly whether she and Goldstein were dating, she answered, “Not dating.” Goldstein added, “Correct,” according to PEOPLE.
Guthrie later misplaced her questions and admitted she had become flustered. Lopez teased that the host had set out to make her guests uncomfortable, only for them to turn the tables.
Lopez Told Jimmy Kimmel She Was Enjoying Being Single
Lopez and Ben Affleck married in 2022, and she filed for divorce in August 2024. They reached a settlement in January 2025 and their marriage was legally dissolved on Feb. 21, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
During a May 27 appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, the host proposed casting Lopez as ABC’s next Bachelorette. He suggested introducing her to a house full of 25 men who did not know she would be their potential partner, according to Us Weekly.
“I’m not doing anything to ruin how I feel right now. It’s fantastic. I love it,” she said. When Kimmel suggested that meeting people might otherwise be difficult, Lopez said she expected to meet someone eventually, provided he was good enough.
Goldstein Wrote ‘Office Romance’ With Only Lopez in Mind
Lopez plays Jackie Cruz, an airline CEO whose strict workplace rules become an obstacle when she falls for company lawyer Daniel Blanchflower, played by Goldstein. Ol Parker directed the film, which also features Betty Gilpin, Amy Sedaris and Tony Hale.
The idea began during a three-hour train ride between Manchester and London while Goldstein and Kelly were working on Ted Lasso. They wanted to write an old-fashioned romantic comedy with sharper jokes and chose Lopez as their ideal lead, Goldstein explained to Netflix’s Tudum.
Neither writer had met her when they developed the script. They sent it with a note saying the project would not happen without her: “You’re at the top of our list. It’s a list of one.” Lopez was already a fan of Goldstein’s Roy Kent and liked the chance to play a woman who had built a successful company rather than someone waiting to be rescued.
In a separate June 5 interview with Harper’s Bazaar, the actors discussed working together again. Lopez said she would welcome an appearance on Ted Lasso or Shrinking, while Goldstein hoped for a film partnership resembling Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore’s. “I would like us to do 10 films together before we die,” he said.
