Kris Jenner and Corey Gamble may not spend every moment side by side, but according to a new report, that independence is not a sign of trouble in their 12-year relationship.
A source close to the longtime couple tells PEOPLE that Jenner and Gamble are still together and remain “great partners for each other.” The source said they are comfortable traveling and spending time apart before picking things back up when they reunite.
The update arrived days after Jenner, 70, and Gamble, 45, made a rare joint red-carpet appearance at the opening-night celebration for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles. E! News reported that the couple held hands as they posed together at the Sept. 19 event, their first major carpet appearance together in about six months.
It was also not the first time their relationship had been publicly questioned. Jenner directly denied breakup speculation earlier this year while speaking with daughter Khloé Kardashian, and she has repeatedly described Gamble as a steady fixture in her life.
Jenner and Gamble Stepped Out Together for a Rare Date Night
Jenner and Gamble coordinated in dark-blue looks for the Lucas Museum celebration. Jenner wore a midnight-blue slip dress beneath a matching sequined trench coat, while Gamble paired a navy suit with a pale blue striped shirt.
Photographs from the evening show the couple holding hands on the carpet. Reuters also photographed Jenner and Gamble together at the event. Their previous major carpet appearance had been the Vanity Fair Oscar Party in March, according to PEOPLE.
Jenner’s daughter Kim Kardashian attended the museum celebration with Lewis Hamilton, and Jenner joined them for photographs inside the event.
A Source Says They Are Comfortable Spending Time Apart
The People’s source said Jenner and Gamble do not expect to accompany each other everywhere and can pursue parts of their lives independently. The source also described Gamble as a grounding and steady presence for Jenner.
That picture broadly fits with what Jenner has said publicly. During a March 2025 episode of The Kardashians, she called Gamble her “forever date” and said they have the “best time together.” E! News revisited those comments after their museum appearance.
Jenner has also spoken about how well the pair travel together. During an earlier appearance on Khloé’s podcast, she said travel had long been an important part of their relationship and praised Gamble for understanding the demands of her family’s lives.
Jenner Already Shut Down Breakup Rumors Herself
Jenner addressed another round of relationship speculation during the April 29 episode of Khloé Kardashian’s podcast. She denied that she and Gamble had broken up and suggested the rumors probably affected him more than they affected her. Jenner said her attention was focused instead on her work, children, grandchildren, mother and the people actually in her life.
In September 2025, they attended the YES Scholars 25th Anniversary Gala together after reports claimed their relationship had ended. E! News reported at the time that the two remained together and posed closely at the event.
Their 25-Year Age Difference Is Not an Issue for Jenner
Jenner also discussed the couple’s 25-year age gap during the April podcast conversation. She told Khloé that age is “just a number” in their relationship and said Gamble was not someone she chose according to a plan or checklist. Jenner’s broader point was that people cannot necessarily predict who they will fall in love with.
The couple met when Jenner was in her late 50s and Gamble was in his early 30s. Jenner turned 70 in November 2025, followed days later by Gamble’s 45th birthday.
Marriage Is Still an Open Question
The latest PEOPLE source said Jenner and Gamble are happy with their relationship as it currently exists and claimed they have not discussed getting married. Jenner herself has been less definitive in public.
When Khloé asked about marriage during the April Khloé in Wonder Land interview, Jenner responded, “You never know,” and joked that her daughter could serve as a flower girl. PEOPLE reported that exchange at the time.
She had played with the possibility before. During a 2024 episode of The Kardashians, Jenner joked with Kathy Hilton and Faye Resnick that they could be bridesmaids if she married again and floated the idea that it might happen when she turned 70.
They Have Been Together Since Meeting in Ibiza in 2014
Jenner and Gamble first met in August 2014 at designer Riccardo Tisci’s 40th birthday celebration in Ibiza. At the time, Jenner was separated from Caitlyn Jenner, while Gamble was working in the music industry. Contemporary E! reporting said the two initially became friends before their relationship turned romantic later that year.
They made one of their first public appearances together at Jenner’s birthday celebration in November 2014. Jenner made the relationship Instagram official in April 2015, and they later attended the 2016 Met Gala together.
Over the years, Gamble became a regular presence on the Kardashian-Jenner family’s reality shows, vacations and major events. Jenner has also credited him with making it easier for her to be herself and supporting the demands of her family and career.

Days earlier, Gamble had marked Jenner’s 70th birthday with his own affectionate post, calling her his “lovely queen” and writing that he would not want to go through life without her.
