Nikki Mudarris says she cannot see herself getting back together with LiAngelo Ball.
The former Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood star discussed the relationship with Towanda Robinson on the October 14, 2026 episode of The TMZ Podcast.
Mudarris and Ball, the former basketball player who raps as Gelo, share son LaVelo Anthony, born in July 2023, and daughter LaNiyah Nicole, born December 3, 2024. Their separation became public in February 2025 after a relationship Mudarris said had lasted three and a half years.
In her initial statement, Mudarris accused Ball of infidelity and leaving their family. She said they had recently been planning family photographs and that the split caught her by surprise, according to PEOPLE.
Mudarris Described the Breakup as an ‘Ultimate Betrayal’
Mudarris told Robinson she was experiencing postpartum depression when the relationship ended. She described struggling with her sense of self while caring for the children and adjusting to a household without Ball.
She called his actions the “ultimate betrayal.” The circumstances still replay in her mind when she becomes upset, although she said she has learned to live with what happened.
She Recalled Three Days of Silence Before the Pregnancy Text
During a July 2025 appearance on The Jason Lee Show, Mudarris said Ball had traveled to New York for a record-label meeting and stopped answering her calls and messages for about three days. She said that was unusual because he generally responded when she contacted him about the children.
Ball eventually messaged that they needed to talk when he came home, she recalled. With his return still two days away, Mudarris pressed him to explain and asked whether he had gotten someone pregnant. According to Complex, she said his answer was: “We need to co-parent. I got someone pregnant.”
Ball had disputed the abandonment allegation in February 2025, writing in a comment reported by Hollywood Unlocked that he would never leave his children and loved them.
In December 2025, he expressed regret about leaving Mudarris during an episode of Ball in the Family. HOT 97 reported that he said he would have stayed if he could make the decision again and acknowledged that he had no excuse.
Ball Married Rashida Nicole and Filed for Divorce Months Later
Ball and Rashida Nicole, the woman Mudarris identified in her account, married on March 24, 2025. Court records obtained by TMZ listed June 15 as their separation date.
Nicole publicly announced her pregnancy on June 26. Ball filed for divorce on July 3 at a Southern California courthouse, citing irreconcilable differences.
On December 2, 2025, TMZ reported that Nicole had welcomed their child, Lilo Legacy. Nicole said she had chosen not to have Ball present for the delivery after spending the final months of her pregnancy without his support.
Nicole also publicly apologized to Mudarris for the pain she had caused. She said the two had spoken privately and thanked Mudarris and her family for supporting her during the pregnancy.
Mudarris Says They Share Birthdays and Divide Holidays
“He’s a very involved father. So, I’m grateful for that,” Mudarris said during the TMZ interview.
The former couple celebrate the children’s birthdays together but divide holidays between their families, according to BCK Online‘s coverage of the conversation. Mudarris said she wants the children to have their father present regardless of her own feelings about the breakup.
She has also put dating on hold to devote her energy to herself and the children. At home, she described herself as the stricter parent and Ball as the one who plays with them. Although she acknowledged spoiling the children, she said she wants them to learn structure and work for the things they want.
