Prince William and Prince Harry reportedly remain completely out of contact despite Harry’s recent U.K. visit and long-awaited family reunion with King Charles.
“It’s so broken,” an unnamed insider told People about the brothers’ relationship. A second source described as knowing both men said there had been no movement toward reconciliation, “especially on William’s side.”
The update followed a five-day visit during which Harry attended charity events and reunited with his father at Highgrove House. Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet joined him for the private meeting with Charles and Queen Camilla.
William did not attend the gathering, and Harry left Britain without a publicly reported conversation or meeting with his older brother.

William and Harry carried out separate engagements approximately 12 miles apart in London on July 7, the first day of Harry’s visit. William visited the London Welsh School, while Harry appeared at Chatham House for an Invictus Games Foundation discussion.
People reported that there had never been an expectation that the brothers would meet during the trip.
William later continued with his own royal schedule, including the Royal Charity Polo Cup in Windsor on July 10 with Catherine, Princess of Wales.
Harry spent part of July 10 in Birmingham for the one-year countdown to the 2027 Invictus Games. He later joined Meghan and their children for the family meeting at Highgrove.

Reuters reported that Charles and Camilla received Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet at the King’s Gloucestershire estate on July 10. It was Charles’ first meeting with his grandchildren since 2022.
A palace source described it as a private family occasion and said no photographs, video or additional details would be released. Reuters reported that the meeting marked the first in-person reunion between Harry and Charles since September.
A source subsequently told People that Harry’s relationship with his father was “better.”
Harry Has Publicly Asked for Reconciliation
Harry said during a May 2025 BBC News interview that he would “love reconciliation” with his family and saw no value in continuing the dispute.
Relations between the brothers had already deteriorated when Harry and Meghan stopped working as senior royals and moved to the United States in 2020. Harry later discussed private arguments with William and his experiences inside the royal family in his 2023 memoir, Spare.
The latest People report also said the distance now affects their children. William and Catherine’s three children reportedly have no relationship with Archie and Lilibet.
