Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have been sharing photographs and videos of their daughter, Rose, with close friends and family, an unnamed source told PEOPLE in an Oct. 14 report.

The source called Rose a “perfect combination of both her parents” and said the couple were enjoying each new milestone. The images described in the report were private updates to loved ones.

Polansky has returned to work after taking time off, but frequently works remotely so he can stay with Gaga and their daughter, the source said.

Rose was born June 9, according to documents PEOPLE reported obtaining. News of her arrival emerged in September, as Wealth of Geeks previously reported; Gaga and Polansky have not issued a public birth announcement.

Gaga Is Singing “La Vie en Rose” to Her Daughter, a Source Says

In a separate Oct. 15 PEOPLE report, a source described Gaga singing “La Vie en Rose” and bedtime lullabies to Rose. The insider characterized her as protective and affectionate, and said both parents light up when discussing their daughter’s development.

The French standard was part of Gaga’s repertoire before she performed it as Ally in A Star Is Born. Bradley Cooper told ELLE in 2018 that hearing her sing it at a 2016 charity benefit prompted him to contact her agent and arrange a meeting about the film.

In the movie, the song accompanies the nightclub performance that introduces Ally to Cooper’s Jackson Maine. Gaga’s recording also appears on the soundtrack, with production credited to her and Brian Newman in Universal Music’s original announcement.

A source previously linked Rose’s name to that song. Gaga also commemorated it with a long-stemmed rose tattoo down her spine, unveiled in February 2019 with the title written beside it. Allure identified Daniel Winter as the tattoo artist.

Polansky Worked Beside Gaga While She Made Mayhem

In an interview published in ELLE in January 2025, Polansky recalled taking his laptop to a studio near their home while Gaga recorded. He was struck by how quickly songs emerged and said much of a track could take shape within the first few minutes.

In a late-2025 Rolling Stone profile, he explained that suggestions sent by text sometimes became lyrics. He had not expected songwriting credits and was touched when Gaga acknowledged his contributions. The collaboration extended to planning the Mayhem Ball tour.

The profile also identified them as co-founders of Outer Biosciences, a skin-health research company near Cambridge, Massachusetts. Polansky said Gaga’s role had previously been kept quiet because the business was focused on research rather than selling directly to consumers.

When Mayhem won Best Pop Vocal Album at the Feb. 1, 2026, Grammys, Gaga began her acceptance speech by thanking Polansky. “You are by my side every single day in a way that I can’t thank you enough for,” she said.

They Looked to Elton John’s Family When Discussing Parenthood

Polansky told Rolling Stone that Elton John and David Furnish had provided an example of raising children alongside an unusually public career. Their sons are Gaga’s godchildren. He wanted her music and performances to feel like ordinary parts of their own family’s life, rather than something she needed to separate from being a mother.

Gaga told ELLE in January 2025 that she wanted future children to decide for themselves what her work meant. She imagined them discovering old costume videos and questioning her choices, and said she would invite their opinions rather than insist they admire her career.

Gaga has continued working on Haus Labs while spending most of her time with Rose, the source in PEOPLE’s Oct. 15 report said. Her public posts have included makeup demonstrations, among them an October video captioned “home glam 💓.”

She began with face oil and a cream she called her “secret sauce,” then applied foundation, contour and bronzer, extending the color to her chest and collarbones. Concealer, lip liner and cream blush followed, with Gaga blending products using her fingertips, according to PEOPLE’s coverage of the post.

The video also showed her changing from a pink sweater into a blue camisole and matching bottoms, ELLE reported. She finished in a brown cable-knit sweater, with her oval diamond engagement ring visible during the routine.
